Not real happy with my boy DP with the obvious slew-foot on Kassian, he only got 2 for interference. Besides a hidden butt end to the jaw a slew foot is about the worst you can do to someone on the ice. Unless something happened earlier with Kassian I can't see why DP would cheap-shot him like that. Here's the video, Perron seems to have some whacking going on with #40 Lapierre in front of the net right before the slew-foot but that's all I see. Lapierre is also the player DP ends up with along the boards in the ensuing scrum. Feel shame DaVeed.

It was bad, but not that bad. More like a cheapshot than an attempt to injure.

No suspension whatsoever.

If you're Perron, why the heck would you slew-foot Zack Kassian of all people? Death wish or something? I dunno...Kassian mentioned after the game he got the guys number.

Yeah it was weird, I don't recall Kassian and Perron being in a battle that game. But 2 minutes was good enough.

Now people are going to say that Kassian dove like all other Canucks.

In front of the goal Perron is whacking one of the D before the slewfoot, it looked like #4 to me, not Ballard?

Perron with the slewban on Kassian, penalties like that should be a 5min major.

I love how people have this idea of Kassian being a bad ass, he really isn't. Outside of the bone headed decisions in Junior, he's just a big guy that has a rep from that incident.

Should've done it to the sedins or even kesler. He missed a season with a concussion he does not need to make enemies with a "powerforward".

I luv him for the pest he is in front of the net but like you said he doesn't need to get a rep as a cheap shot. Somebody will ring his bell and that could be it.

I like the dramatic fade-in entrance to the video.

Stop with the self-pity, it's becoming insufferable. It was obviously a slewfoot and deserves to be looked at from the top.

Yea, Really stupid play by DP57. I love the boy, but my goodness, after you miss 13 months with a concussion and then come back and become an important part of your team again, why o' why would you go around doing dumb stuff like that.

MAYBE Kassian was caught off guard, and Perron didn't think he'd do anything but slightly corkscrew him to peeve him off......but I'm not sure anyone, including myself, buys that.

DP should stick to his diving and sick skill game.
