What will happen tonight? No doubt in my mind that the Leafs will win while dominating the game in intensity over a team that is simply going through the motions. The Leafs' players are making first impressions tonight and that counts for a lot in the short term. The only thing that can stop the Leafs tonight will be Montreal's superior goaltending. It's always possible that Price stops everything the Leafs throw at him.

Wouldn't it be nice if a Leaf Goalie could do that for a change?

I agree though, should be a convincing effort.

Any news on line changes and if Gustavsson still starts. If I had to guess Conolly moves up from the third line by games end.

I've felt for a while like we were about to turn a corner, wilson or otherwise. Let's hope it's tonight.

I doubt Carlyle is going to come in and make radical changes to the lines or anything tonight. We'll probably see the same lines and defense combos as the Chicago game.

They might win a few games in a row now, they're due to win whether the coach's name is Wilson or Carlyle, but the same assistant coaches are in place messing with the defensemen's heads, the same forwards are avoiding contact and the same goalies are in goal letting in stoppable shots.
Actually the D coach is not here anymore either.

I bet Connolly gets injured really soon now Carlyle will demand some accountability for his lack of effort.

I hope we lose tonight...and continue to lose.

It's time we draft our own #1 *********** Center from this year's draft.

Who's first to be benched and in Carlyle's dog house tonight? I'll say either Lombardi or Connolly

Lombardi benched. Connolly with a season ending injury.

Looking at the top six, I could see a guy like Clarke MacArthur, whose effort level goes in extreme peaks and valleys, growing old with Carlyle pretty quickly. Same with Connolly.

Lombardi can at least look like he is trying, he just sucks.

True enough, that's the reason I wanted Mac traded for a 1st if it were possible. At least Grabo and Kulemin try consistently on that line. Mac is just meh most of the time. But at least he throws the occasional body check. I don't think I've seen Connolly make any contact with anyone all season long

Oh come on guys At least let Carlyle get his first win before the tank is launched.

This team won't win against those powerhouses anyways. I don't mind a loss if Kessel/Lupul gets points, or a win.

" do all the firsts, get to the puck first, get the first shot, get the first hit, get the first goal" Love it! You can already see how detailed Carlyle is.
