Wow, that offer sheet to Schneider sure sounds enticing after reading that post.

Though it does open up a big can of worms in that teams will be more willing to pick on the Oilers with offer sheets to our RFAs. I think I'd still do it though.

Who the hell were teams going to overpay for? Gagner? Cogliano? Gilbert?

Nobody (except for the Oilers to the Ducks) was going to give up big enough salary to secondary options that the Oilers wouldn't consider matching.

Hall? Eberle? RNH? Grigorenko? Petry? Approaching their last contracts as RFAs? They just may.
