Was weird I was trying to find the game on my break but couldn't find it on any of the usual channels

So the streak continues of the Flames struggles in the Ponda, nice.

BB is right, they should start declining PP.

They just need to stop having Selanne handle the puck so much. Put him back on his off-wing as a shooter. Either that, or replace Selanne with Ryan entirely.

There are things working on that PP and things that aren't. At the top of my list of things not working is Selanne as a major puck mover. That's never been his role, and it's pretty much the opposite of what he was expected to do when our PP was ranked 3rd. I actually don't understand that decision at all.

Koivu is another thing I don't like. He's good in the face-off circle, but his finish is terrible. Some opportunities just need to be buried, and he's not doing it.

Getzlaf at the point, that I like. I don't know if it's the duo of him and Fowler, or Getzlaf has just matured as a player, but putting him at the point with Fowler has improved our puck movement on the PP. It's when the puck goes down low that things start to get ugly, IMO.

We changed our entire PP strategy it seems like. Now, it seems we are trying to run a classic umbrella, but with Getzlaf on his off wing. At the beginning of the season our PP was at its best when we had the puck being held down low because of Perry and Selanne's ability to finish in tight areas and Getzlaf's ability to handle the puck in tight areas. Now it seems we are trying to rely way too much on the point shot. If you're going to run the umbrella, at least put Koivu and Getzlaf on their on wings where they can utilize Getzlaf's one timers. With Selanne in the high slot for the high tip and Perry in front of the net.

When is the last time Ryan, Getzlaf, and Perry scored even strength goals? Or when is the last time the top line produced 2 goals?

What a shot by Getzlaf!

The other thing I'd like to see changed on the PP is that Getz needs to be shooting more. It looks like Fowler is the one the coaches want to shoot from the point, but I think Getzlaf has the more dangerous shot(though not the quickest of the two, since it takes him more time to get it off). At the very least, I think he needs to show the opposing team he's willing to shoot, to keep them honest. Force them to worry about both players shooting, and it should open up space.

Would love to snatch one from the Queens. They've been off for a while, and hopefully Carter and Richards have had enough time to mess up the rest of the team.

Looking on standings - wow, that 2 losses against Dallas really hurted. If we would`ve won just 1 of these 2 games this year, we would be just 3 points out of PO spot.

Now it looks pretty impossible for us to get in, + Hillsy is starting every game, he is already wored down. I will continue believing, but now it is looking really bad.

Big win. Great to see Getz playing well, I think he's been great for a while now, he just couldn't buy a goal at times.

Still a long way out, but it's fun to watch. SJ are sinking big time atm as well, and we still have to play Edmonton 3 times is it? We do have a chance to catch right up.

Also I've been so impressed by DSP. He's gone from looking like an AHL scrub his first 20 games to a very good bottom 6 player since then.

Good to come out of this with two points. Anyway too many turnovers and PP issues.
Anyhow, was good to see Selanne skating hard again.

P.S. So how long till DSP gets his 1st fighting major? If he keeps up the physical in your face type of game of his, sooner or later he will need to answer the bell. I have no information, can he handle himself?
