News are that Kuzya will probably be back on the ice by the time the play-offs start. First MRI showed only slight damage to the ligaments. Another one is scheduled within the next few days.
Wey, Haar & Herbert all in action in their respective conference playoffs currently. BC/Providence is currently on NBCSports (Walton with the call). UMD is in OT vs. Denver and WMU is up 4-1 over Miami.
Minnesota (Boyd/Larson) plays North Dakota later on.
Hey all, just curious about Patrick McNeill and why he's not gotten a shot at the NHL after playing for 5 years in the minors. Is he destined to be a career AHLer or something?

He's been called up a time or two but not really sure why. Even Mike Vogel of the caps has publicly wondered why McNeill has not.

His play has been very inconsistent for most of his years in Hershey, this year included. He is great on the powerplay but in his own zone he hasn't shown signs of improvement and Washington has a lot of guys who are offensive defensemen (Green, Wideman, Orlov) who are taking his spot

We were all a little surprised he didn't get a shot last year, especially when guys like Fahey and Collins did. This year he's simply been buried by depth, especially after the Kundratek and Marshall additions.

I see. That's unfortunate. Thanks for the replies.
Second round. Same number of rounds/teams as NHL playoffs.
I've watched just one game but he looked like his normal self.
Galiev's Saint John draws Cape Breton in the first round & Carrier's Baie-Comeau gets Victoriaville. Brandon Anderson's Brandon team will play Calgary but Anderson hasn't played in a month. He just rejoined the team after taking a personal leave.
The NCAA tournament kicks off Friday with WMU, UMD, Minnesota & BC all in the dance.

Thanks, I hadn't seen the news that Anderson had returned; no question Boes is the starter for Brandon.
I was glad to see that Carrier returned for Baie-Comeau and got in a game last weekend before the playoffs start.
- BC advanced past Air Force 2-0. Wey with an assist on a late insurance PPG.
- WMU lost 3-1 to NoDak. Haar got some props from a couple commentators but was fairly shaky. The skating and athleticism are apparent but not so much the strength and composure. Curious whether his fellow blueliners Dekeyser & Tennyson go pro.
- Minnesota up 4-2 over BU through 40. Boyd is surprisingly playing in all situations. IINM he picked up an assist. That one's also on ESPN3.
