That's not enough from Buffalo. Buffalo needs to add.

maybe if Buffalo adds their own 2nd as well, or Calgary's, whichever is higher, or a prospect like Sundher?

I know Roy had a bad half season coming off a knee injury but he is playing great right now and has been almost a ppg center throughout most of his career. Sorry but there is no way I do this as a Buffalo fan.

Really doubt these two teams would trade, anyway.

yea but i would love to see roy finally, finally drive the net, and have it be against Miller, and just watch the whole Sabre team just go ballistic and beat the hell out of him. But he would benefit from playing behind Staal, and I believe Staal would benefit from having a dangerous 2nd line after his as well. Buffalo gets the higher pick and a guy in Sutter who's three things... big young, and cheap.

Insert Robyn Regher Tunnel of Death hit on Roy....should stop that pretty quick.

Carolina isn't moving back from lottery position just to "upgrade" Sutter to Roy, assuming that is in fact an upgrade.

Only way I can see the Canes trading back at all is if all of Yakupov, Grigorenko, Forsberg, and Galchenyuk go before they get a shot at them.

That would pretty much defeat the purpose of the trade from a Buffalo standpoint.
