Only teeskey has 2 years under his belt, and unless he improves his skating abililty, he will degress. All others have only 1 year under their belts, and none are blue chippers. Martin, hasnt performed as expected, and they have no choice but to play Maxwell.

They need an influx of high end talent/skill or it will be difficult for them to score goals next year. Dal Colle would be a great addition. Brace coming back will be an asset. Kontos should help out, but they still need some high end forward.

Their D is suspect without Percy and Demelo. Graves, Carrick, and Didodati coming along, but still shaky.
We also have

Kuptsov (94)
Goldberg (94)
Kopstals (94)

I think what we have acheived this year with some many younger names in the lineup has to be a plus going forward. Some playoff time will only help the guys in the lineup right now. With a couple 96's added next year, hopefully one being a "BIG" name we should be set for the future.

Just noting, in an article in the London Free Press not too long ago their was an article about the majors and the year they are having. Boyd emphasized that the Majors always do what they can to ice a competitive team. None of this mem cup run then 2 or 3 years of sub par hockey. For me that means a lot as every year management is looking to improve the club and win hockey games.

Spencer Martin proving why he was selected in the first round. Great game for the rookie, 1st star with a 46 save performance in the loss. If he continues to improve he will be a solid starter next season.

They are good in net and on D for next year. That is why they will draft an impact forward that can score with their first round pick.

You are very right chewer

with our first three picks in the draft i would love to see them go forward, defense, forward. We have a 1st and two 2nd round picks this year i believe, just speculation but i would to see one of Dal Colle/Bourne/Hargraves/S.Watson with our first then a defensemen with next pick (DiPerna/Mercier/Duchesne/Znaczko) then another forward with the next pick

Hope Boyd and company can grab some quality propects with the first couple of picks in the draft

Hey Torts,

Dal Colle wont be there by 11th spot.

They may get Bennett and Duchesne, but I doubt both will be available.

They should be able to get a Bourne or Hargraves in the first round and then a Jenkins or Spinozzi/Brown in the early 2nd round.

All is in the air for the 2nd round picks.

Mississauga will beat Barrie in 6 or 7. The team has been playing playoff hockey for the past month and a bit and Maxwell is on fire, he can definitely steal the series for them.

yea thats ok, seeing how dal colle did in the ohl cup. id still be happy with bourne, hargraves or watson

as for the playoff, i really think we have barrie beat in goal and on defense its just a matter of putting pucks in the net. barrie suffered a huge loss when tanner pearson went down for the rest of the season

big game tonight, if we lose this game it may be tough to come back from 3-1. been a tough series. heres hoping home ice treats us well again tonight.

in other news, brace and maxwell were named to tsn's top 50 ohl players list

Great effort tonight by the team. Seemed to come out in the third playing desperate...need to keep it up. Hopefully, they can steal game 5 in Barrie...need to win one on the road anyways.

Really like what I've seen from Burnside. He's played with poise...should be fun to watch him develop over the next few years.

Surprised no one else has mentioned the apparent pending sale of the Majors to Elliott Kerr...as per the Sun on the weekend...

After Martin, Burnside is the best player the Majors drafted out of the 2011 class. The kid has got great wheels. He plays a smart solid game, he drew about 2-3 penalties tonight. He just has to really focus on increasing his body weight, he's too light. He will be a force if he can gain about 15-20 lbs of muscle over the summer.

I don't think they relocate and if they do if it wont be for a couple years. First they have to wait for the lease to end or else it would be extremely expensive on Mississauga's end. Also Elliott kerr is a Mississauga business man, i think he would want to keep his business close to home.

Agreed...I think the purpose of selling to a local owner is to keep the team in Mississauga. To break the remaining 6 years on the lease will be too expensive to contemplate. Elliott Kerr was part of the original ownership group who brought the 'Dogs to Mississauga in 1998. Not sure where he fit in...I do know that there was a fracture (rather messy) in that original group that led to the sale of the team to Nick Ricci. However, there is no denying that ownership group had difficulties...let's just leave it at that. I hope second time is a charm for Kerr if he does indeed purchase the team.

Majors top 3 prospects under consideration at the 11th pick will be between Hargrave, Bourne & DeSousa.

i really hope they dont go the d route, we need an influx of skilled forwards. id be open to hargrave, bourne, salituro or any other highly touted forward.

we could look d with 1 of our 2 2nd rounders or 3rd round pick.

Hargrave is looking like he will be selected by Belleville @ 10. Desousa was at the Majors last home playoff game so they may very well go with him at 11. I expect James Boyd to make some acquisitions at the forward position as they lack high end forwards.

DeSousa should not go 11th overall

If they pick him over Diperna, or one of the big forwards, or talented goal scorers in the draft, they Boydy should relinquish his GM duties.

They are looking at desousa I think for more the 28th pick than the 11th

I heard that Dmen are shooting up the draft, as there arent too many good ones around. Desousa may go in the top 10-15. Wow.

Mckeown, Middleton, Hiddink, Desousa, Diperna, Spinozzi, Brown, Cummins, and some sleeper picks maybe from Marlies or Rebels???

We may get 6-7 in the first round. Remember, with so many quality forwards, teams may want to secure a Dman and then go for a forward. The first 2 rounds is deep with quality forwards.

yeha I know, I feel like I have a decent handle on the draft

Just tellin; yah what I think...no worries...

I just find that teams put rumours out like this to try and scare teams into going D "before they are all gone" so their guy slips....
