When you arrive in Montreal on a Boeing, Your on Habs One Approach! Gotta love the Airline World! :-) We've reached the skies!

''Most commercial aircraft, including the ones used by visiting NHL teams, will be flying the HABBS One procedure,'' Guy St-Arneault, manager of the control centre, said in a statement.

Awesome.

Whenever I fly in for a Habs weekend from Halifax the plane either flys down the center of the island so on my left I see the Big O and downtown on my left, which is the approach I love, or we go south of Montreal and then circle in and then fly in over Lac St. Louis.

Anybody know what these approaches are named now? It didn't specify in the article.

The Rangers went 53 years without a cup, the Blackhawks 47, Leafs, Blues and Kings 43, Wings 41, Sabres and Canucks 40, Bruins 37, Flyers 35. In the case of the Leafs, Blues, Kings, Sabres, Canucks and Flyers, those droughts are ongoing.

Should all those clubs throw away their history too?

Ya I don't think the Habs are in danger of throwing away their history.

You have got to be kidding me. This is taking being an annoying prat to new lows, even for this board.

You have to have 5 letters, it's a world wide standard, hard to turn ROY into 5.

If you want to count cups how about Henri Richard?

Roy inspired a generation of home grown goalies. If it wasn't for him we would be now cupless for +30 years.

You could also take Dryden or Plante if you wanted someone with +5 letter last names.

Gainey was a great guy but I think there are a few more deserving Habs out there.

You don't know Gainey at all then. Also the names have to be 5 letters long so Roy comes up short.
