What happens with MSG if Rangers and/or Knicks go deep in playoffs?

I was wondering...What happens if the Rangers or Knicks go deep into the playoffs (June) and construction of phase 2 wouldn't be able to start until after that?

Biggest issue is the Knicks because if they go all the way (LOL), the NBA Final this year doesn't end until amost July due to the lockout. I read on here that MSG needs at least a 20 week shut down period so you can do the math from there.

Construction window is 17 weeks. They did a lot more this past summer than originally planned because they had more time. The main consideration will be the seating bowl. Still a lot of work ongoing.

And if the Rangers play into June (the Knicks, c'mon!) I'll gladly sweat a long road trip to start the season.

According to my rep, if either team makes the conference finals it could make things difficult for the construction/contracting company. However, they are contractually obigated to be ready to go for the Rangers home season to start in late October. If they don't get it done, they take a huge financial hit as per the contract with MSG. Basically, they just have to figure out a way to get it done. If it means taking on more staff or increased overtime, they need to do it.

I don't think they had the same number of workers during the overnight shift as during the day. Perhaps there is room to add more crews. Obviously at some point it becomes a safety issue...and even beyond that you simply can't start working on some items until the previous one is done. But I'm sure they'll find a way to get it finished on time.
