Ofcourse, by just the 3rd page this has turned into an anti-Canuck(s) thread . Classic. No suspension on the play IMO. I think a 5 minute major would have been more fitting though.

I could see giving him a 1 game suspension just because of how purely stupid and unnecessary it was, but not because Kassian stood any real chance of getting injured by it.
The video evidence says he is a dirty player.

If a guy like Brad Marchand did that he would be suspended for multiple games and people would say how dirty he is. If PK Subban did it there would be a bunch of Penguins fans here showing multiple videos of him doing the same thing and calling him a dirty cheap shot artist. Perron did the same thing, it is dirty.

If one action qualifies a player as a "dirty player" than 90% of the NHL is "dirty players"

Get real.

This is the Zack Kassian that I had grown accustomed to in Rochester, he is not a physical hockey player. He just took that cheap shot and was happy to have the linesmen give him an out.

Agreed. Kassian should just take a number for next game.

That was a really stupid play by Perron.

I doubt Mary Jane Jackman would condone such behaviour.

So what are you saying? Is Zach Kassian a bust because he isn't a top-line power forward at 21 years old, with 30 NHL games under his belt?

I hope you apply that standard to all NHL prospects.

What a joke.

You should maybe read the thread before you chime in with the butt hurt. Not a lot of people are defending Perron or hating on the Canucks. There's more Subban hate in this thread ffs, and it's minimal. Man some of you guys are sensitive

Hopefully this post gets the Canucks hate ball rolling so you can actually have a reason to continue on feeling sorry for yourselves. Here to help

Agreed.

As a Canuck fan, I think our oversensitivity is getting silly.

Are you suggesting we're oversensitive!? Yet another unjustified slam on Canucks Nation!

I didn't see this during the game the other night but heard about it. No idea what Perron was thinking. Stupid play.

Dumb play by Perron. Looks like Oshie was glaring at him afterwards for it.

The way that game was going just makes it all the more stupid. Hopefully this was a one time fluke play on his part.

Can't condone the play at all

I love how Sabres fans are acting like Kassian was just some throwaway for Godson.

It's not Canucks hate at all actually, people are allowed to have debates around Canuck players without it being "Canucks hate."

As a canucks fan, I'm getting tired of hearing this.

That was dirty but Perron isn't a dirty player.

There are times I wonder if young David is just a bit tweaked in the head (discounting the concussion bit).

This was one of those times.

No thanks. I hope the Blues and the Preds meet in the first round and just bash the crap out of each other for seven, possibly eight games.
