If the fans need to start a chant for ownership to realize there needs to be a change then it's already a lost cause. I think Molson knows there needs to be a major overhaul of the front office. At least I hope he does.

I still want to win this one, the Leafs and their fans still have delusions of playoffs, let's kill that noise.

Habs can't lose them all till the end of the year, just the rivalry games.

Yup, those three people you came across on hfboards can basically be averaged up to assume they represent a large portion of the fanbase.

There were so many Habs fans thinking you'd be in the playoffs too, in that case.

Most fans are delusional. It is proportionate to how big a fan you are and your inexperience with the sport. We cheer for two of the biggest and expansive teams. Delusion is going to happen. Unless you believe the Habs fans aren't comparable in being just as delusional, if so.. I can't debate with someone possessing that much delusion.

I'd love the Leafs too if they gave us Rask, Seguin and Hamilton.

Sure thing, but you're short having the 3rd leading scorer who is also 5th in points to send us in return. Heck, you only have one player who is barely in the top 50 in points. Rask was a bad move, I could have told you that from day 1.

We have potential for another chippy, and sloppy match tonight. I dont mind that. It gives you something to watch even if there is no other incentive to do so.
I feel the same way (about the Leafs, of course). I was fine with a lottery pick, and it looked to be heading that way; but I'd never cheer for a loss. There is no pride in that, as a Leafs fan... there isn't much else pride left to hold onto. The Leafs shouldn't lose this game, you guys have too many injuries and this team needs to impress the new coach. If Price stands on his head, it could happen.

It's funny how the tables have turned, a short while back I was telling you guys not to give up on Price. The guy is stellar.

They're already dead. They aren't capable of a run required to break in. Allaire prevents them from using their hands, so it's near impossible for them to "stand on their heads". Talent might be important also.

They had a great start, but the hot goalie at the time had a head injury. It's been down hill from that point. Reimer keeps getting chances, but he isn't turning it around this year.

It isn't like this team has been completely healthy, we just don't have a Markov to throw the number out of whack every year (I guess Armstrong counts):

It's kind of pointless, you guys will likely have a new coach next year. The writing is on the wall. If not, you might as well start the 2 year countdown now, because it will get ugly..

Anyway, I'm out. Not trying to start a war here.. just thought this thread needed some balance to all the hatred. Part of pretending not to care about the results of this game, is hiding how much you actually do care about it.

Good luck, whatever happens... oh well. The year is done regardless, and the Leafs don't tank on purpose. So nothing to look forward to much from this point on. Might as well enjoy the hockey, and hope the Canucks blow their city up again.

In fairness we had every reason to believe as much.... a healthy roster probably is right in the thick of things.

I love Eller.

JFChaumont:
#Habs: Deux heures avant le match, Lars Eller est sur la glace en espadrille avec un bâton et ses gants.

Eller is such a beast. If we trade him because omg too many centers who aren't Sidney Crosby, I just might cry.

I find Leaf fans embracing the tank so pathetic because of how terribly sad their team has been for years now. If the Habs were sucking desperately, leaf style, for like 6 years straight now I'd probably be locked up in my room crying. I can take one year of tanking, even though it bums me out being so terrible, but if we ever get to a Leaf-level of suckitude and people are still embracing the tank, that'll be scary.

I guess when your franchise is a joke all you can do is joke along with it... for years and years.

Win is a win for me. A loss in regulation is a win for me. I don't want a loss in the shootout.

we have a reason to be "embracing" the tank, as we finally have our 1st, lets just hope burke doesnt trade that to columbus for rick nash on the draft table
