Just realized we have already scored more goals this year than all of last season (we did it in the 5-3 loss to BOS). Man was our offense starved last year.

First, there's 3 years left on Andy's contract after this season, not 4...

Then, in his last SIX (6) years :

2011-12 Ottawa NHL 56 29 19 6 3113 148 1692 2.85 .913 3 4 - - - -
2010-11 Total Col/Ott NHL 51 24 20 4 2865 135 1546 2.83 .913 2 4 - 4 - -
2009-10 Colorado NHL 71 38 25 7 4235 186 2233 2.64 .917 7 - - 2 - -
2008-09 Florida NHL 31 15 7 5 1636 74 977 2.71 .924 3 2 - - - -
2007-08 Florida NHL 17 8 6 1 935 35 535 2.25 .935 2 - - - - -
2006-07 Florida NHL 5 1 1 1 217 8 116 2.21 .931

That's consistency. We also have the luxury (finally) to have 2 great young goalies that will push him in the back to perform.

lol, I will never understand how people come up with those random statements out of their arses.

The point blank high shot open net miss by Gilroy was worse than Condra against the Bruins because they lost this game. if he wants a contract he'd better not miss too many of those. Maybe that's why for a so-called offensive D he only has 2 goals this year. I'm starting not to like him so he'd better do something soon to win me over.
Do you think that Lee would have caught Kane on that breakaway? 3 games and you dont like him wow.... Oh yeah that shot was tipped.

I dont see how anyone can complain about Craig Anderson. In fact, I would go so far as to give him team MVP consideration.

I could see him keeping up this level for several years if he is happy, not just the ******** fans thought that he is going to stop being good at 32. Its not just the shots, but the quality of shots and breakaways he faces on a regular basis. Lehner is hot right now, if he keeps it up, great. Better to have 2 or 3 good goalies than zero.

How dare you question him?!?! He is a professional engineer dammit!!!

Only I, as another professional engineer may point out how ridiculous his statement is. So here it is: Xspirit is right, you have no clue what you're talking about. I award you no points and have begun the process of having PEO strip you of your PEng status.

Gilroy had 3-4 chances that i have never seen Lee have this year.

why are people complaining? Sure he wasnt great defensively but when the team is down you have to start taking chances

Lee has had chances, just that he has a terrible inability to bury those chances.

If Gilroy cant finish them, what is the point. Campoli had 5 goals, 13 points in 25 games when traded here, I would be shocked if Gilroy ends up with half of either being worse defensively.

i have never seen lee go deep and actually get chances infront of the net. Also his shot rarely ever gets through. He is worse than Phillips offensively. which is my point i dont see why ppl hate Gilroy so much. If he can get these chances then he will start burying them. Atleast he is creating out there. Lee didnt do much of anything and was on the bottom pairing for a reason

Thats because Lee is a defensive d-man. He has gotten quite a few chances but they werent right in front of the net. If Gilroy was better defensively, it wouldnt be so bad. Fact is, creating chances, does not count on the score sheet. Turris has a two way game, which makes it more acceptable, Gilroy does not. If he doesnt score he is useless, Karlsson gives the puck away alot, but for obvious reasons he is invaluable. Gilroy doesnt provide that.

My biggest present fear for the Sanators going into the last stretch of hockey and maybe one round in the playoffs is the serious lack in secondary scoring.

After Spezz, MM9, EK and Alfie there isn't much of any signs of secondary scoring.

We are starting to see tight checking which normal to playoff type hockey. And with tight checking hockey it will get tougher for the above mentioned guys.

The Bingo guys need to get going.

For me especially guys like Greening and Condra and Butler.

Smith and Greening need to wake up and get back to playing physical hockey.
