You're talking about relative value here. Yes, the $73 is a good value relative to the other new price points. But that doesn't mean it's going to matter in the real world. Take a minute to let these new prices sink in, do you realize that every single lower bowl seat is now over $100? That's crazy for 41 NHL games season tickets (soon to be +3 worthless exhibition games too). People aren't going to pay that every night, Stanley Cup or not.

The Yankees tried to ask for the moon on their ticket prices, and now everyone is cancelling in droves and hitting up stubhub for seats 50% below face. Yes the Rangers have half the games, half the capacity, and play indoors - but the NHL is still not popular enough in NYC to justify prices anywhere near what the Rangers are now asking for (in a tough economy to boot).

I will likely renew, but this may just be my last year. I'll just go through stubhub like everyone else

Section 326 should now be Section 216, but for some reason on that map the section is not colored in. Your section may no longer be available for season tickets (the press area may have been extended to your old section)

If it were still a section, row 1 would be $125, row 2 would be $79, and rows 3 to 5 would be $73

I'm thinking this might be the case. Which is good news for me and other high letter 300's.

I'm not sure how many previous 200 subscribers were relocated into the current temporary 200s. I believe most of them were placed in permanent seats towards the corners/ends. Additionally, I do know that quite a few of these temporary 200s were used to seat subscribers who were in the 300 ends that were unavailable to start the season due to the renovation.

My point about tenure is that a 20 year subscriber in the first row of the current 300s would have a right to be angry if a 5 year subscriber sitting in the temporary 200s was all of a sudden placed in Row 1 of the new upper level, bumping him back a row or three. To that end, I couldn't imagine the Rangers would simply assign the first several rows of the upper level to those sitting in the current 200s.

Well if those that had seats in the 200's were relocated to another seat already that's permanent than there is no issue. But if they haven't, where are they going to be put? You can't screw them over either by sticking them in seats that aren't comparable to their current ones.

You will be in either the $50 section or the $53 section.

Probably a high row in 220-222.

If your lucky you could end up in 420 for $47 or $29

So now you got me looking at those 400's and I am seeing that:

419 & Higher --> DEMOLISHED

418 --> 413 CUT IN MORE THAN HALF
417 --> 414
416 --> 415
415 --> 416
414 --> 417
413 --> 418
412 --> 419
411 --> 420 CUT IN MORE THAN HALF

410 & Lower --> DEMOLISHED

Interesting... Lol... So I'm wondering if 409 and 410 become 47 dollar seats in the NEW 400's or become 200 section somewhere either 50 or 53 dollar seats ...

I don't think that is correct as 421, 422, 423, etc are the higher 200's now.

There's a waitlist, you would have to call them I think.

Would you happen to know how that works?

If I call and get on the waitlist, then what?

I think you have to leave a deposit to get on the list (I had to leave a 50.00 per seat deposit, but that was years ago). Then they will call you if anything becomes available for this year -- which it probably will but only in the lower level. I doubt a new subscriber would be able to get uppers this year.

And so I'll just get notified anytime new seats become available?

Obviously the lower section seats are way too much.

They'll let you know when your number comes up. In recent years many new subscribers had to start out in the lower sections before they could move back to the cheaper seats during the next upgrade/relocation opportunity the following summer. No idea how things will work out now considering the whole garden renovation.
