I forgot how amazing RC is, he is a stanley cup winning coach in the making right? More like temporary fill in, getting Martin away from this team ASAP was priority and we didn't want to commit to someone else until a full assessment was done. Pretty simple if you breathe through your nose and not like a chicken little.
We have 5 players right now that can bring it in Offense.

3 of them are centers. LETS DRAFT ANOTHER CENTER!!!!!!!!!

The loss has zero to do with anything here. It's just the reality of our situation.

As much as some of you like to call this a tank and come up with cute tank pictures and cute tank names..............this is not a tank.

I repeat. What you are seeing on the ice is not a tank. This is a really poor team that has been mismanaged into irrelevance. Gauthier is worse than Houle could have ever imagined.

So use the expression of "tanking" as a defense mechanism to cover up reality. But the reality is still there. And we are a very very poor hockey team right now with very little to be optimistic about for the next several years........even more if Gauthier sticks around.

Now back to the celebration of the so called "tank".
I'm not sure you realise what tanking implies! Tanking is synonym with sucking, optimism will come in june at the draft.

Would you guys trade P.K Subban for a proven elite scoring winger like Jawffrey Loopull?

NOT EVEN HOULE DID THAT. Those two clowns should be told to pack up and leave. Unbelievable crap management.
First of all, Gainey is not responsible for this mess. Second of all, under Houle we never had a line as good as our top line right now.

Great Loss

Now, can we sit Cole for a few games?

Not only will help the tank, but the guy must is 33 not 23, and taking a beating each night when the games are meaningless.

Gainey not responsible?

Locking the team down with the Gomez trade and Cammalleri signing started this. Gauthier had to try (and failed ) to clean up the mess.

Why not?

Lupul is an elite All-Star scoring winger with some grit and size.

Too bad we lost. I don't want the Leafs to make the playoffs.

What a fight between Staubitz and Brown !!! Best moment of the game.

Tanking is losing intentionally.

This team is not losing intentionally.

That Latendresse trade was awful, not only did we trade a good winger but the winger we got for him isnt on the team anymore

if you'd admit that gauthier and kaberle absolutely suck, we'd be on the same page.

But Gainey owns a piece of this mess, the one that ties up 7.3 million dollars in cape space and prevents the Habs from securing a real first line NHL player.

there was no mess. We were a perfectly good team until Gauthier made 3 fatal mistakes

Choosing Markov over Wiz
Firing Martin
Trading Cammalleri for Bourque

We are comfortably in the playoffs in not for those three boneheaded moves.

Because puck moving, aggressive defencemen are hard to come by in Montreal.
