I hope AK tears it up for the rest of the season and playoffs, make Goat look like an already bigger ass clown than he already is and seals the deal on his firing.
I remember he had a hatrick in the playoffs, surely we can extrapolation that into a 3gpg playoff scoring rate, right?
So it was cool and all to point it out (and very professional by RDS might I add) when the first game didn't have a great statline for him, but he lights it up in the second game and now people start playing it down.

I don't think my opinion about the doofus has differed at all this year, at any point.
He's big, he's pretty fast and that's it.
His shot is overrated, he has absolutely, positively no hockey IQ (maybe a good coach can find a way to make him effective) and his "projected NHL status" is changing year by year.
Used to be a prime prospect, then a future finesse player, then a power-forward, then a future regular 30g30a guy and now he's barely getting 20g -- and he sucks in the playoffs and every coach who has ever had him was frustrated at his inability to be consistent.
He's an oaf on the ice. I hope Nashville gets swept just to spite AK fans.

i'll be here with you to serve the crow on a platter for him. keep in mind this is the same guy that liked niinimaa for ribeiro.

If you're referring to me... I hated the Ribeiro deal and still do. It's probably the strongest I've felt against any move management has ever made. You don't trade talented, established centreman, ever.

Not even soft Czechs who disappear in the playoffs who can be given stupid pokemon nicknames?
I watched the whole game tonight and AK looked great. It's not like he scored but looked invisible the rest of the time. He made very good passes and looked confident out there. The thing I liked the most was that even if he committed a turnover on the Panthers goal, Trotz didn't stick him on the bench like they would do here in Montreal.

I don't call Pleks by any stupid nickname. I've come to kinda like him for what he gives, not what he doesn't. Sure I'd love a better centre but he's decent value for his contract and he's a very well-rounded player.
Andrei is just Andrei. Never fit in, constantly disappeared and went on long slumps, etc. I don't see the appeal at any price higher than 3.25. I like what he'd bring at a contract like Bourque's but he'd probably want a higher deal and I definitely wouldn't re-sign him for 4m or more.

suggesting that kostitsyns shot is overrated is just more evidence as to how clueless you are.
Are you friggin serious??
Mike was my neighbor back when I lived in Ile-Bizard, I was his biggest fan and I went over to his house when he got traded. You're mistaking me for someone else, I had another username back then.
If I recall correctly though, you were cheering the Gomez trade "McDonut is another Fischer", "Gomez is a winner, Koivu sucked", "I'm voting John McCain" were your quotes from that thread, if my memory serves me.
Levity aside, I like to think that I'm pretty knowledgeable about hockey - Andrei's shot is like a mirage. You think it's there but it's not.

Most players have a twilight period where they have a bounce in their step and catch on fire. In either case he burnt all his bridges in Montreal and yes his shot is overrated. All I saw were him shooting through sticks game after game. Him missing on one-timers. Him never having his stick on the ice. Him never making a heads-up play.
"But but that's not his game. He's a hitter and a 20g guy!!!"
So what, he goes on 10 game scoring slumps and has burned through almost every centre who's ever played for the club. Enough's enough.
