Is he clearly better than Lundqvist, Rinne, Thomas, Halak, Luongo, Miller, Vokoun, etc?

It's not clear that he is.
Just for fun, lets look at the team's those "great statistically" goalies play for.

Lundqvist,Rangers, great defensive team.
Elliot and Halak, St Louis, great defensive team, we saw this in the habs vs blues game.
Schneider and Luongo, Vancouver
Thomas and Rask, Boston (Chara any good?)
Rinne- Nashville (Suter, Weber any good?)
Howard- Detroit (name me one guy bad defensively on the whole team)
Fleury- Cup winning team

Those are the 10 guys ahead of Price just off the top of my head.
See apattern of how Elliot, Halak, Schneider Luongo, Thomas Rask, appear in the top 10 "stats"? This is proof that the stats are greatly influenced by the TEAM in front of them.

To see why saying he's 16th in this category, 10th in that category business is definately meaningless when talking about goalies,

Had Price finished with 0.003 less save % last year, he would've been 13th. Yes 13th in the whole league. But nobody in their right mind would say oh Price wasnt that great this year, he's 13th in gaa. He still would've been considered a top 4 goalie last year, and still would have got the hart and vezina votes. By the way 0.003 save % can be lost by having 2 or 3 bad games.

You forgot to add in the hours of video footage and scouting information that is given to the players about the opposition in hopes of better preparing the player.

so not only do they ACTUALLY play against the player, but they also get intelligence ABOUT that player as well.

To say that players are poor judges of their opponents is absurd.

So then why are miller and Kiprusoff ahead of price?

Are you seriously going to use that year where Halak played the hockey of his life to discredit Price who was 21-22 years old at the time?
Halak is "playing the hockey of his life" again this yr btw so it's not really a one time thing.

All I'm saying is u have no reason to be pissed that Price isn't in the Top 50. He still needs to prove himself.

Because they are better goalies than price is right now, they stop breakaways, shootouts and don't give up so many softies like price has been doing a lot of this year

Right now , price is not an elite or great goaltender, maybe someday, i'm not betting on it just yet, moreso wait and see

That is so stupid.

I love the idea of a list being made by players, but that method can only bring stupid results.

I'm really surprised over 50 players actually got votes.

Actually the whole voting thing is stupid, Price finished tied for 51st on this list with a bunch of other people, so I'm going to assume that means at least one person voted for him. Who would even vote Price a top 5 player in the league.

Exactly, I could think of maybe 20 guys who could show up on such a list.

James Neal has more goals than Ovechkin this year, therefore he is better then Ovechkin.

And miller is ahead of price? 11 less games played, 0.16 gaa higher than price, only 0.001 save % higher. He's ahead?
