Why not try?

Ennis-Hodgson-Vanek
I already said I've adopted the Sabres as my second team. However, that was a piss poor effort until the 2nd period by my hometown team. Couldn't hit a pass for the life of them. Frustrating...

I have to say though Pahlsson has been really effective at his game. I'm not surprised he really shut down the top line again.

This game had all the writings on the wall to be a great game. Ah well. Onto the Jets for my adopted team.

Hodgson looked good at times, but still needs to improve on his stride. Kassian was great 7 hits 1 G 1 A... but his conditioning isn't there. He's always great for the first 30 seconds than he kind of fades. That's his conditioning that needs to work on. All in all, that was definitely more entertaining than watching the Blues. Congrats on the win guys I guess I should be celebrating too haha.

I guess you didn't read the whole Kassian > Coho thing because Kassian got 2 points as tongue in cheek?

The Good:

- Leino was phenomenal; two goals and great defensive play the whole night. Saw PK time and was very good on his faceoffs, winning 6/9. Our best player tonight.
- Sekera was amazing. Smooth skating, good defensive work, moving the puck extremely well and with great poise and confidence. He's starting to prove the Brian Campbell comparisons we all talked about a few years ago, except he's better defensively but doesn't have as much of an offensive game as Soupy does.
- Miller again was fairly strong. Not complaining about any of the goals he let in tonight.
- Gerbe looked good as always, getting two partial breakaways that I saw.
- Ennis - Hodgson - Stafford continuing to develop chemistry and create scoring chances. Ennis with the ENG.
- Ellis - Boyes - Tropp working hard and skating. Boyes with a goal continues to produce offensively.
- Hoff with a good defensive game and a goal to quiet his old building.
- Getting two points and 6/6 points in the last three games, all on the Western trip, not to mention playing three games in four nights.

The Bad:

- Vanek - Roy - Pominville was nothing special tonight. Pretty quiet if you ask me.
- Chasing in our own zone for a little bit.

The Ugly:

- Nothing really. I don't even care that Kass scored on us. We won.

It was an ugly win, but on the 3rd game in 4 nights on a west coast road trip that's to be expected. All of a sudden Monday's game is huge!

This. It certainly rubbed me the wrong way to watch Kassian play like we've always wanted him to play -- only for another team. That said, even if Kassian plays like this for the rest of his career, if CoHo works out as our #2 center I'll still be okay with the trade.

Good:
Road trip overall, 2 points this game.
3rd/4th lines
Sekera
Hoff - for the most part
Defensive team play was much improved. Still some breakdowns but overall, play D this way in all 3 zones and we will be fine.

Bad:
VRP - they gotta get going. Especially TV
Myers-Leo-VRP brain fart on 3rd goal
Homers on HNIC......
Ref's in the 2nd. Better in the 3rd
Our PP is non-existant.

Ugly:
HNIC gushing over Kassian. 1st star of the game (Booth was better)

Enjoy Vancouver Kass. Adreneline is running high right now. Let's see where you are in a couple of weeks.

Agreed.
though, they had some questionable calls go against them. The refs seemed to let more stuff go as the game went.

Don't worry about us. One moment Luongo is the saviour, and the next moment we should buy out his contract.

Roy's not to blame for Vanek's slump. He put together 9 points in 10 games last month at one point, while Vanek's struggled since January.

Anyone who suggests breaking up Ennis and Stafford should be punched right in the face. Leave it alone.

- Gerbe bringing the wheels and pushing the pace.
- Sekera. Kishire put it best -- he's a beaut.
- Ennis-Hodgson-Stafford again the best line period to period. Pace, chances, good d? Yes. The empty netter was a capper on a good night.
- Boyes has almost doubled his goal output since the trade deadline. If it wasn't so terrible, it'd be funny.
- First win in Vancouver in 13 years.

The Bad -

- Didn't like Leo at all on the second Vancouver goal.
- Didn't like Miller's rebound control on the second Vancouver goal.
- Penalty parade.
- No liking Alka-Sulzer out there. Get well Robyn.

The Ugly -

- Dubious officiating. The call on Kaleta and the second "high stick" penalty stunk the most.
- Watching Kassian engaged again. A goal and an assist? Seriously? And him (as predicted) trying to head hunt on his ex-teammates.
- Foligno sitting.
- Roy and Vanek. Pominville wasn't far behind.
I wanted to see Foligno too but Ellis was a beast out there. I wish he had talent. My G-d he plays hard

he had like, maybe 5 shifts win the sedins in the last 3 games? less? and hodgson isn't good play on the wing, that's why he never played with kesler

kassian played good defensively, blame luongo for his minus

and please don't act like you know hodgson, we've seen him for 63 games this year and 20 last year

G- Ennis-Coho-Staff
Sekera
Ellis surprisingly
Leino Gerbs nd Kaleta
Sulzer actually to me didn't play that bad. No glorifying mistakes. I thought he played okay for his first game.

B- Refs...Yikesssss
Diving. Cmon Burrows and company.
Few elbows from Vancouver thrown too...Luckily one didn't connect badly.

U- Diving again. Still frustrating to see.
Refs cuz they always suck.

It was the same for us too.

I really liked Matt Ellis tonight, he seemed like he had a jump in his step, the CBC announcers pointed out how good he was, he was making a difference everytime he was on the ice.

No, that's just Andrej MF'ing Sekera being beastly. Ruff tried to get him out there as much as possible against them...had much better luck in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Roy, Vanek and Pominville... Words can't describe this fail.

Miller played good.

GOOD WIN.
Consistency will be the big word for Kass. Coho is adjusting to a bigger role for once in his career.

Great game regardless.

I think that was the best NHL game I've ever seen Kassian play. I really hope he can keep it going for you guys, now that we're not going to meet again in the regular season.
