Canucks fans are saying Kassian played better, not that he is better. It's way too early say who "won" the trade. Vancouver can easily take a solid game from Kassian from this loss, because they're league leading and we're a non-division team.
No need to turn this into a pissing contests. They have a right to be excited about their new player, as we are about Hodgson. Good on em.
Hey...
no doubt kassian played great. That's the player we wanted, but he's in our forum. You know making a statement like that can start a **** storm. Why even start it?

yeah, despite chipping in a goal his play in the defensive zone really left something to be desired. I'm not a fan of the Leopold-Ehrhoff duo as both players are prone to sever brain farts.
Wanted to point out that Leino's heating up at the right time. The guy's known to show up in clutch situations; that's one reason we got him. I hope he continues to change the minds of some of the doubters.
Leino needs to shot a little more. I think he has a deceptive shot. I hope this breeds confidence.
Get off of Myers back holy **** man. He was a +1 today.... Wasn't like he was -2 and he also got an assist. 9 points in past 14 games...
Myers was better than Anaheim and SJ, but he's not where he needs to be--and where he was before the trip started. Defensively and physically he's not been lights out like he was back home.
Simply this team is better when Myers is being studly in addition to Sekera. And if we want to make a serious push for the playoffs, he can't just be good. He needs to be great.
On a positive note, is there any team in the league that has as many hot starts to games as we do? It seems like some games we just go off in the first couple of minutes. If only we could harness that power....

Neither am I.
The pairings prior to Regehr's injury were working quite well
Sekera/Regehr
Leo/Myers
Weber/Ehrhoff

Don't hold your breath on that. He has a severe case of Craig Janney disease.
I'm loving him on the 3rd line in a defensive center role. He still has a ways to go but I think he has the tools to become effective in that role.

Only saw the third but a great win for us, did not see them taking 6 of 6 from the Ducks, Sharks and Nucks in their buildings

-Good to see Leino contributing
-Other than the lapses on the two goals, I thought they tightened up in the third, sounded like the second we were giving up quite a bit.
- Hodgson looked pretty solid from what I saw
- Locking up the game and making sure Kassian wasn't the hero after his goal
- The empty netter so I didn't have to sit on the edge of my seat for the last minute
- Ehrhoff getting one against his old team
- 2 points out of eighth, 6-0-2 since the Philly game? Awesome
B:
- Vanek, pominville, Roy was completely invisible from what I saw. When I saw Vanek halfway thru the period I actually thought to myself is this the first he's been out there?
- Leopold/Myers on the second Vancouver goal, sloppy play
- Miller's rebound on the second goal
U:
- The verbal diarrhea that comes out of Sylvester and Gare's mouths, seriously just terrible, especially after the empty netter.
