It's stunning what happens when you add 30-goal scorers to your lineup.

There's guys who have had 30 goals (Richards, etc.), and then there are goal scorers, and that is where Jeff Carter falls in.

Voynov looks just as good if not better than JMFJ, with all due respect to to him. If that continues, a 1st round pick for Carter is peanuts. If Scott Howson is making that pick, they'll screw it up anyways.

Hey bud, calling the refs "footlocker" 10 times isn't funny. It wasn't funny the first time, or the last time. Neither is calling Selanne "Salami" every time. And yelling "Seacrest wannabe" every time the guy is on the jumbotron. Le sigh.

But the Kings won so it made it all better

Kind of funny considering last I talked to Jay he was used as a Ryan Seacrest stand in on American Idol.

Selanne is still deadly, not just on 5 on 5, but moreso on the lower left half wall set up for the one-timer. Guy can still play. Has nearly 60 pts this seaosn.

Anyone that attempts to make fun of that dude ain't gonna get-a-long with me, kind of like guys who wear sunglasses indoors.

Funny you should say that. He was wearing prescription sunglasses and showing them off to his friend...

Also, Dwight King is awesome.

So is Voynov. I still can't get over that HUGE diving shot block by Voynov that saved the tying goal in the 3rd.

Jack who?

I thought Nolan was awesome. Seriously maybe one of the best forwards tonight. He needs to stay in line up. Can't wait till Gagne gets on the Philly line with Richards and Carter. Kings been impressive but had a couple defensive mistakes tonight I thought.

Great win!!!

Now all the Kings need is a 2nd line center to play between Williams and Brown.

I think you mean a center and winger to play with brown. Seriously I want the Williams back from last year.

So glad I went to this game.
Carter and Richards are such effin gamers, it's ridiculous. So confident and you can see them enjoying playing together.

Penner. Someone said it before, but this guy needs a psychiatrist or zoloft. I know he's havin tough personal issues but his depressed state isn't good for the team. Had good seats today and was payin attention to him. Seemed the team didn't know what to do with him and his frown. Sort of like keeping distance. ChristPenner, she was hot but we got millions of hotter women in LA. Go hang out with party time Mike and Jeff. Sure they'll hook you up.

I liked that Voynov Amart comb, also.

Voynov/Amart >>>> Doughty Richards on the power play. they don't waste any time teeing off. And accurately.

What a game. Just finished watching the game from my DVR after I was at my own game, just like every Saturday, but man, that was thrilling. There was something miraculous that took place last night, a Kings player got the puck in the slot and beat the goaltender cleanly with a wristshot

Wow, Carter and Richards looked possessed out there. They've been on the same page since the day Carter arrived, they have some solid chemistry and will be a treat to watch for years to come. Brown still leading the charge and Kopitar is regaining some confidence. Also, we can't forget that Quick, even though he let in a bad goal, re-focused and shut the door ensuring we pulled off the win. Great game, onto the next one, GO KINGS!

ouch , lol .......but in that other thread about centers and scoring it appears kopi is third among centers behind datsyuk and toews I think and hasn't played well yet ,maybe with the ice opening up now and brown back in sync he will get rolling, dare to dream how good we could be if that happened........if gagne could come back and move king to 3rd line instead of lewiswe would have life and energy rolling all four lines

it's nice to have a player that is actually a threat offensively.

Those are only numbers, they are not to be trusted. Kopitar can play better than Richards for 15 straight games, but if it's the other way around for two games, some of the posters are immediately writing posts like the one you quoted. It's just the way it is.

Was at the game this evening, some observations:

1. Carter has great ****ing hands.

2. The third line may not have scored tonight, but their puck possession tonight was unbelievable. In particular, Penner was all over the puck.

3. Amazing saves by Quick...no criticisms here, but his puck handling tonight seemed a bit off...and even though he had a great night, proved he was human after all with the bad goal allowed from Smith-Pelly.

4. Thank God the Kings recognized that the Ducks weren't going to let up in the third and went on the offensive about 9 minutes in...the puck possession changed the momentum in the third and allowed the Kings not to lose tonight.

5. May have been the best "Standings Night" all year long for the Kings with Sharks, Coyotes, and Avalanche all losing regulation games.

tonights game was awesome for the feeling during and after the game, the best game i have been at in a awhile and maybe since playoff time.....PS just read the ducks board and if I didn't know better I would think they do not like anyone on the kings and that really hate us ,refering to drunken comments and the such, which surprised me considerring how highly we regard those bandwagoning crybabies
