He had already committed to the pass, before the hook even happened. He had two better options: shoot it as he was entering the zone, or throw it around the boards. We had a one goal lead, he tried to get cute with the puck.

He wasn't amazing THIS game, but he's directly responsible for our offense not being atrocious many nights. 4 goals in the last 6 games speaks for itself, PPG+ pace for the past 20~ games does as well.

Richards needs to play better... Disappointed with his play again today... He needs to be more of a factor in the play than he has been.... I know they credited him with 2 assists but I don't understand how he gets an assist on the Gaborik goal when it's a Bruins player that fires the puck off the boards and onto Gaborik's stick...

But Julien is a MORON!!!! His strategy to keep heaving bombs from the point doesnt work against Henrik.

Today was a perfect example of why the Rangers are dangerous: they do not get down on themselves at all. They've been that way for 98pct of the season, and they deserve to be the best in the east.
According to who, Jack Edwards??

Overall, I'm glad we got the W but this was not a good game. This team needs to start putting in 60min efforts to make noise in the playoffs.

Good:
Stepan is a winner.
Hagelin had a great game.

Bad:
Hank was fightin it tonight, it happens.
Stralman had a rough game, d in general really needs to pick it up. The minutes look like they may be getting to Girardi.

Redden:
For all the credit he gets for being tough, Lucic is a huge *****. Throwing legit punches after time expired is completely bush league.

I am only speaking of this game, you are putting words in my mouth. I am not criticzing Gabs for his play over the past few games. I am talking specifically tonight.

Missed it due to work, wish I DVRed it as I would like to see the tape.

From the boxscore it would appear its a typical Rangers/Bruins game in the 3rd for us... sit back and hope Lundqvist keeps it out, and he did.

Very satisfying win, even though we were being dominated in the second period.

1) Del Zotto
2) Gaborik
3) Stepan

I'm not putting words in anybody's mouth, i'm just saying why we're witnessing the Marian Gaborik show. Guy has been consistently great for us.

Also because MSG is blind.

It's really hard to ignore because it occurs every single game where the Rangers aren't playing their best. Without fail.

I understand wanting to be positive and not jump off a cliff, but they take being critical of bad play to another level and lump it in with wanting to tank or something. Mind boggling.

I blame Foxhound, that guy set the standard as far as negativity goes on this board. I miss his posts.

Gritty win. Even though he was fighting the puck all night Hank really kept the Rangers in it in the 2nd period.

They really need to evaluate what the **** went wrong that period and fix it.

A bunch of defeated bros finding solace in the idea that their opponent might have cried at some point? I don't believe it.

Foxhound is basically every negative poster here combined into one hate-fueled cyborg of anger.

But yeah, I agree. Last year I was at the Bruin's game at the Garden where we came back and ended up winning 5-3, and not only did I have to see all the high and mighty guys on her puffing out there chest, I screamed "PLAY FOR THE ****ING PLAYOFFS" when we were down 2-0, and as we started to come back some ******** in front of me was like "YEAH THATS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DOUBT THE TEAM *********".

Being a sports fan is tough stuff.

I don't know. Hank, our best player, is hungry for the cup, after being a perennial first or second round team. I think the 7.7 goal and Afinogenov's OT winner gives him cold sweats every night. Richie has been there, Rupp has been there, Feds has been there, and a ton of other guys on the roster have been through some embarrassing PO losses.

I really think we take Boston in a 7 game series.

It used to work, until he worked on his glove hand. He is also more erect than he has been before. He used to go into his butterfly WAY too much.

The good: Stepan.
The bad: Too many turnovers
The Redden: NBC flashing a Washington Capitals graphic at one point.

No one has mentioned Dubinsky. He really does a premier defensive job and is such a strong skater. Thought he did quite well.

Lucky to win this, would help if we played a little of the game in their end. Defense wouldn't be as tired.

Hank was fighting the puck the first 40, thought then he recouped well, was in real control the 3rd period.

Think the Rangers could beat Boston in the playoffs, ditto the Flygirls. Need to play a ton crisper if they want to beat Pitt. Only real advantage there right now is that Fleury is IMO overrated.

Its exhaustion..

They need to reconfig their D corps, in order to give some guys rest.

But we're 12 points ahead and we're 3-0 against them.
