The X-rays were negative. That is good. Cally himself said it was a bad bruise, and he's just waiting for the swelling to go down before he plays. He was able to at least fit into his skate this morning, which is a good sign. I'm assuming another night of rest and hopefully he'll be able to lace em up and give it a go tomorrow. I'm not too worried.

#NYR: Lundqvist in net, Callahan (right foot) remains out, Del Zotto (right hip) and Fedotenko (left foot) will take warmups. Girardi in.

yeah, since your best forechecker is out might as well sit one of your other best forecheckers for a guy who has shown that he can't cut it in the nhl

A source tells me he'll be back soon unless he goes to see the Mets doctors. Honestly I have no clue but I would keep him out until he is fully healed and dont think we will see him Tuesday.

You're paranoid, bud. He wouldn't be skating if it was broken.

Paranoid?! nah, not me *eye twitch, scratch bald spot due to hair loss* Not me, nuh uh!
But I just feel like we're...different without him. And it kinda sucks to have the awesomeest player out, I really hope he comes back soon

We have the luxury of being in first place in the conference/division by ten points. There's no reason for key guys who aren't 100% to be playing. I'm sure he's fine.

This. He probably broke it in 60 places, taped it together himself and everything

I think he misses the game against NJ and Ottawa, but he'll be back against Chicago. At least I'm hoping so, cuz I'm going to the game in Chicago

He just needs to come back, our game has slowed down without him. Very bad

**** that! I've got tickets to the NJ game! This would be my 3rd game with an injured Cally, and I hated it the other 2 times.

I wouldnt have a problem if he is out all week. Rest for the week. The fact that he got his foot in the skate for a few mins on the ice makes me optimistic. Continue to take care of it to the fullest extent possible and come back next sunday night vs the isles.

no idea but I say out. Makes no sense to play him if he's not 100% . Let Scott play and beat up somebody for now
