that might have been the scenario. I renewed about a week before the fan fest event. I didn't get an invoice in the mail, I paid at that time.

Sounds like this is the reason they didn't want to give up picks as they try to re-stock their farm system.

I'm surprised it has taken the management team so long to make this commitment to Providence.

But this is good news and I hope they really do it.

I think they were trying to stabilize the coaching staff first and make sure Claude's defense first system was implemented properly.

Sounds like there's going to be a very rude awakening for some of these guys.

players or staff or both aly?

either way, with the likes of Spoons, Knighter, and Cross coming in - that's three guys with talent and leadership qualities that can play in any situation.

I suspect Warsofsky will continue to improve as well, he's handling his development right and his play so far does not surprise me at all.

Me too and have asked the question about a coach who is competent in Providence in developing these prospects (and I`m not saying that Cassidy isn`t), I have never seen a PB`s game, strictly going on the small pieces of info I can about the team.

To look at it from another angle Alan, I think that with the crop of kids who will be most likely playing in a PB uniform next year, it will be, hands down the most talented group they have assembled there in a long time and it is absolutely imparative that the proper coaching staff is in place??

No disrespect to the current players there, one would hope the best coach for that job is always in place but kids that have been mentioned are, from all we are hearing, higher end prospects and their development could be crucial to sustained success of the big club moving forward and staying competitive Cup contenders for years?

There are several players that are RFA's. Wonder how those signings are going to go?

Both. I think they are preparing for those guys and others to come in and are hoping this will turn the team around.

For those who care, the P-Bruins lost to Adirondack tonight 3-1. Summary here:

http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary...ame_id=1009487

No Borat or Hutch (wasn't aware he was hurt too), so Courchaine between the pipes and let in 3 on 23.

Ridderwall with the lone P-Bruins goal.

Courchaine let in two softy's , played good enough to win, but the goaltending was the downfall tonight.

Hutch had the flu and couldn't go- hence Courchaine's start with Khudobin injured.

The flu explains why we didn't see Hutch. I was wondering why we were playing Courchaine when we were essentially chasing playoff points. That game last night was so important, major bummer.

Softy's are a bit generous. They were wristers from just inside the blue line at the points. He was gross. Never looked set, or ready.

The PP was also ineffective. In the third they had a 4 minute advantage and another power play and couldn't convert, which would have tied it at 2.

NO

Cassidy is not the guy for the current group, let alone when we start getting the prospects that actually have potential. We need a wholesale line change on coaching staff. Time for a fresh voice and new approach. 3 years overdue now. Cassidy never should have taken over, IMO. Do it right ... Can them all and start anew.

Bridgeport in the house this afternoon ...

Karel St. Laurent pulled after allowing 5 goals on 17 shots

Bruins somehow staying in it despite the piss-poor goaltending display

5-3 Bridgeport at the end of 2

Team played like crap tonight.

Bruins are 0-5 since they won last Friday (in Worcester) and tied for 8th.

Injures are;

Khudobin, Bartkowski, Robbins, Miller, Camper (nothing in writing yet but has not played since Friday) Chaput.

AS, soon as Khudobin is healthy he'll be the back-up to Thomas if he clears waivers.

Would be great if Boston got healthy.

I don't think anyone on here has a clue if Cassidy is the right guy or not. Cassidy does exactly what Julien/Chia tell him to do so maybe we should be putting the blame on them. Or maybe we should accept that the players aren't very good. When Camper was called up he had high praise for the Providence staff and said his transition to the NHL was helped by the fact that Providence's coaches teach the exact same system they do in Boston.

not sure why you would want to watch that again. i was there and it sucked!

They did have a great PP goal that looked like they executed exactly as it was drawn up. Sauve fed a blind pass to Cunningham.

Worst weekend of the year, lose all 3 at home!!! They were outscored this weekend 14-6
