Mike Brown
From Seigel's piece on TSN (
http://www.tsn.ca/toronto/blogs/jonas_siegel/?id=389452 )
Quote:
Mike Brown played only four shifts after a first period fight with Brad Staubitz, bothered by neck stiffness...
Hopefully he's okay but at least we have Rosehill on the way to replace Brown if he's out for an extended period.
Edit: From the Canadian Press overview of the game (
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=389426):
Quote:
Carlyle said the winger had a stiff neck but should be ready for the next game Tuesday night at home against the Boston Bruins.
Looks like Brownie's okay after all.

I don't mind Rosehill getting the occasional game in and I think it was a good idea to send him down to get back into game shape, but Brown is much more effective and can play more minutes in more situations. Rosehill is good to have when we're playing tougher teams and we need to keep them in check.
Glad he's ok.

I think the idea is to play tough all the time, not just against teams like the Bruins.

Good to hear he should be okay. We could very easily need both him and Rosehill against Boston.

There's only one call up remaining for the season. I think they'll save it.

I think Brown is one of the best skaters on the team. He has almost no offensive ability but he skates, bumps and forechecks very well. He's an excellent fourth liner, IMO

If Brown had hands, he'd be pure money.

No doubt. May not be offensively gifted, but his heart and intensity are exactly what this team needs.

Exactly. I couldn't believe it on the weekend when I said to my friend 'who doesn't like Mike Brown?' and he replied 'I don't like Mike Brown'
