Can we create a poll on here to see who plans on renewing their seats with the new prices? Curious to see what others are doing.

I think most people will renew for 2012-13 except those in the higher price points who can't take it any more. But then they're going to start bringing back the 3 worthless preseason games, and then they're going to have that giant monstrosity of a bridge obstructing everyone in the mid to upper 300's & 400's (these are now the "200" sections). They'll probably be raising prices each year too. At that point I think a ton of people will be heading towards the exits

I'll likely be dumping my pair in 115 and renewing by pair in 329 (likely to be 214 next season.)

Yep. I'm wondering how far down those bridges will cover. I'm hoping we get row 15 since we're row A now in the 400's but I don't even think that will be low enough to avoid the bridges.

They made their big increase which everyone expected. I just can't see how they can keep going north from here. The prices cannot increase every single year.

I had 416 2 years ago in Row B and i had to lean forward a little to see the net, so you can forget anything behind that row, unless of course the renovation fixes that problem. Everyone in 400s or mostly everyone is getting screwed big time bc of this whole upgrade.

I have 419 now. I would prefer to be placed in 222 or 214 for $50
IM in 412 now, should be the new 419. Def not a crappy view. I love it and everyone who sits in my seats loves them too. Have the players view of up ice and side rangers shoot twice on. Convenient access to west balcony for any concessions. Proud to be the last of the blue seaters as long as I get my stuff this week and im not moved anywhere else.

What is the giant empty space betwwen the 1st row and the rest in sects 222 and 223? I'm 314 row D so I'm hoping to be in 221 row 4. Anything closer or over toward center ice is gravy...

Two thoughts after looking at the new seating chart: Is there any seating *above* 222-226/209-213? I thought there would be a few rows all the way up near the ceiling - a different level?

As a STH I find myself picking where I want to be. But I don't think it's going to work like that. Won't we get offered seats and if we refuse we get put back at the end of the line before we can choose other seats?

Obviously if seats are unaccounted for at that time they would offer them, but I don't think many alternatives will be ready at the time of initial selection.

I am probably going to renew even though I am not happy about the increase. I fully expect to get screwed by this organization again. I currently have aisle seats in 328 and I'm sure I wont be on the aisle when I get my new seats. Last year I was promised section 220 for half the season and then told that construction was complete in my area and I had to take my permanent seats for the full season. But they put me back in my old seats in 328 and I am obviously going to be moved. My seats are among a handful in 328 that arent obstructed, I'm sure that has impacted my ability to resell them as well.

I think you're going to be assigned a seat and asked to renew up front, then after all the invoices are due you'll be able to speak to your rep in order of seniority and pick from any seats available at that point

Correct. In theory, they will be assigning a seat of "comparable" view to everyone. You will then have the opportunity to go through the upgrade process over the summer, after all renewals are in, to move to any available seats.

If I remember correctly they won't let you downgrade during that process. So in theory I don't think they will let people in $73 section to move back to a $50 section. Is that correct?

I don't think the bridges are going to be as big a deal as people are making it seem. Remember, you are looking down towards the ice. I do not think it is going to obstruct anyones view of the ice. It will only hinder your view of the crowd on the other side of the arena.

Anyone else try to log-in to their account today? When I tried to go through subscriber central, the sign-in page looks different, and when I log-in, just brings me back to that page. When I scroll down, I see a link for my personalized site. I click on it, sign it, but just get a blank black screen with 2012 renewal information and nothing else. Maybe they are uploading the info?

Actually I think the opposite that it'll be an even bigger deal than people think. I think anyone with upper seats will have to deal with tunnel vision like the back rows of the Loge and Mezzanine back at Shea Stadium (which had to be heavily discounted). I think a LOT of fans are going to get a view like the back rows of the West 400's this year. The ushers have been moving people who complained of the view in those seats to lower bowl seats as a courtesy all year long. It's going to be a real ****storm when people start sitting down in 2013-14

Well the fact that they have installed video monitors on the rear facing side of the bridges has lead many people to believe that at least some rows towards the back of the upper bowl will have their view of the center ice scoreboard obstructed.

They haven't installed anything yet, as the bridges won't be in until 2013.

West 400's? Are you talking about those blocked by the overhang of the West End Balcony? I don't think that is going to be an issue, but that is why the west end 400's have some $29 seats to account for the obstruction.
