Well, I wasn't going to go to crazy like you did...but, Tambo, Git'r dun!
And I thank you for realizing that the board can be fun to bring up dumb things like this and doesn't always have to be so serious!

What do you think it would take to get OEL; Gagner plus what?

I'm guessing they would ask for something like:

Gagner + 2012 1st

or

Eberle

Just one of those where it makes 0 sense for Phoenix to trade him unless it's an overpayment and provides top line offense.

No doubt, it'd be like dreaming that you're rolling around in the hay with Ellen Degeneres instead of dreaming something worth dreaming!

If it's #2 overall, that's all it should take. Grigorenko has the chance to be a franchize center... something the coyotes need MUCH more than OEL, as they have Yandle, Gormley and Rundblad

That's like saying we should take 3rd overall for Hall because Murray is a potential franchise dman and we need that more than another winger

not at all. Murray does not = Hall. but OEL = Grigorenko... likely even worth less than Grigs.

I don't think we'd want to know the asking price on OEL.

I would be interested in any one of Klesla, Rundblad, or Gormley though.

That's backwards. OEL is a stud

I'd be interested in McBain from Carolina still.

Bryan Allen might not be a bad pick up if we strike out on longer term options.

Would you guys pick up Marty Turco when he goes through waivers to Boston? Since, our goalie situation can't get any worse?

If Nashville gave Tambo permission to talk contract with RFA Shea Weber and you could come to reasonable contract terms.... ie $7.5 mil for 3? 4? 5 years? Would you move Edmonton's 1st pick (2012) as part of a deal to acquire Weber?

Say Weber (signed), Lindback for our 2012 1st pick, 2013 1st pick, Musil, Whitney, Dubnyk

Weber - Schultz
Petry - Smid
Sutton - Potter
Peckham

would you do it? Would Nashville consider it, if they thought they couldn't sign him?

Turco is terrible as a goalie....not a Bad passer though...could help the breakout

He looks like he'll be a solid top pairing d-man. But a guy who has all the potential to be an all-star 1st line center has more value.

Instead of the "home run" I'm thinking maybe moves along the lines of

Sign Bryan Allen 2 years @ $3.2 million

Sign Josh Harding 2-3 years @ $3 million per

Move Nik Khabibulin to Tampa or a team looking to get to the cap floor.

Would be an OK off-season. Maybe target a Jordin Tootoo also.

No point. Turco has no future with this club so why play him games?

You don't trade a guy who is a top pairing d-man for someone who might be an all-star center. Not unless OEL has demanded a trade.

Anyone still think Hemsky's overpaid when Grabovski just got 5 years at 5.5M per?

My guess is Burke just wanted to get it over with. Plus the closer you get to Free Agency the easier it is for a player to turn down deals.

Honestly how many teams would be lining up to give him that on July 1st? Burke knew all year that this is what Grabovski wanted I would've dealt him and cut my loses.
