it's so embarrassing. I wish our home games were like that instead of the church service they put on 41 times a year.

Wasn't Vanek on a 40-goal pace at some point this year?

I thought the fans were great. The only thing I didn't like was the chant, I thought it was classless. Then again I don't particularly like "USA" chants at Sabres games either.

I doubt it, actually.

For the Winnipeg players who won? Yeah, it's all good. I get what you're saying, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter, and I highly doubt the players care about fan chants as much as opposing fan bases do.

Who cares about the chants? It's gamesmanship.

Sabres fans should sing-song Winnipeg on their next visit with Phoenix chants.

Chris Thorburn was an early cast off of the core and he brings in every night. I always use the definition of irony incorrectly but is this an example of it?

Our fanbase seems to think they don't make a difference and score only when our guys make a move first...as where we should probably be pumping them up.

I'm not sure how we can achieve this. A good chunk of our fanbase is so old they'll probably blow an artery cheering that much.

This. I thought the fans were great. That they were chanting so loudly was awesome. Just a chant in poor taste, I thought.

Chants at a Sabres game?

The very Ugly.... Vanek. Overpaid, overrated(not that I ever here anyone but Sabres fans talk of him). Lacks effort, leadership, and grit. Brings nothing to the table. Should of been sent to Edmonton with a thank you letter for the draft picks.

Turnover city. Ridiculous.

I'm seriously ready to bench Vanek. Could be his shoulder, but it doesn't matter - he's a complete liability.

I absolutely can't stand Pierre. First of all, he's just annoying and repetitive. Second of all, he loves dumping on the Sabres. Third of all, he loves gushing about his latest man-crushes. Fourth, he's such a know-it-all. It's a shame, because he actually does know a lot about hockey, but he's becoming more insufferable every time I see him.

Seems like our record when playing on VS/NBC sucks. Anyone know?

G
Found my 2nd favorite team possibly
Atmosphere was nuts
Myers was in beast mode
Ehrhoff and Sekera were quietly good
4th line bringing it again
Hodgson's passing, both tonight on the PP and in general, is sick

B
Pretty much every other forward line sucked
Regehr needs to rest up, he was getting torched by the jets speed
Hodgson for most of the rest of the night. first time i saw him look really indecisive with the puck multiple times in a game.
Leo
Ennis not finishing chances

U
Everyone on the NBCSN except the PBP guy. didn't know who it was, but he wasn't awful.
VRP. Especially vanek. Looks like he's back to playing hard when he wants to.
Turnovers
Our top players (except for Miller and Myers) did not look like they wanted this victory that badly.

We are in Win/Win situation. Either the Sabres win and move closer to playoffs or they lose and almost like that lose few spots and hello top5 pick.

I think so given what I think your understanding of him is, but I don't think he's all that great either, and I intend absolutely no disrespect toward him. Obviously he made a great move and a great play for the goal, but teams only have so many spots for guys who work hard yet only score about 5 goals a season.

*shrug*

This. This is the NHL, not the olympics. There is a time and a place for those chants, but during the Nhl season nationality doesn't mean ****

Good:
Ryan Miller....Kept us in this game
Corey Tropp...played with some energy and was rewarded
We are still in the playoff hunt, we have to put this game behind us

Bad:
Turnovers
Lack of offense
Vanek...no drive at all
It seemed like the Sabres were content on letting Miller win this game for them
That was a 4 pt game tonight

Ugly:
Throughout this road trip, this team has been outplayed, for the most part their offense has been non existent. We are fortunate to be still in playoff contention.

I guess I don't get offended by the whole nationality thing. US versus Canada has always been a pretty big underlying current. Maybe not in the media (US at least) or with the players on their respective teams, but it's definitely there. Just look at Pittsburgh cheering Miller after the Olympics.

I wish we had organized chants. I love going to college hockey games because it's so energetic. Trick is to get a solid group of people dedicated to getting chants going -- then keep them infectious enough where people who don't usually do it get caught up in it.

Good: enjoyed the road trip overall.... I was worried they'd get slaughtered but they came to play taking 3 of 4..
4th line
Myers - best game of the road trip

Bad: execution, lack of jump, Regehr getting beat to the net....... (wasn't his injury a LBI?? which means his push off on the transition had to be affected)

Ugly: So many posters jumping off the cliff when players fail.

Most of us have watched way worse efforts than this one this season. I'm happy they are finally starting to play to their potential ( a little too late I agree).

Finally, as Miller goes, this team goes. Maybe that should be different but that's what we got.

I have no problem with the Winnipeg fans at all. But the announcers don't have to bring it up every shift.

You would think there are quality control people at NBC sports that would try and point out how ridiculous Pierre sounds on a nightly basis.

39 times this year they have scored 2 goals or less. (i included games they won in a SO 3-2 b/c they still only scored 2 goals) That's horrible. What happened to the offense????

I don't get it, what is with NBCSN and their hatred of Buffalo? What'd the Sabres ever do to them? The commentators were slobbering all over Winne-****ing-peg for god's sake like they're an all-star team.

Also, Vanek and Regher both need to be scratched to get healthy, playoff race be damned. They're no longer helping and are a liability out there.
