DSP should not be on the 4th line.

Just a suggestion. What if we trade away Vis this summer and use the free cap space to sign Ryan Suter (UFA)? With Fowler, Schultz and Vatanen the offensive defenseman spot should be covered quite well the future years.

Given, of course, that Suter wants to sign for the Ducks...

It`s not so far from reality. We just have to get those ''few'' extra millions. Samuellis are clearly not gonna give them.

I`m not sure why a you are paying attention to get cap space, when we are a budget team. We don`t give a crap on cap space. Even mediocre Lubo for 3 m (his actual salary next year) is a decent price.

Shipping off a guy on 3m and signing a guy on a 8m+ contract wouldn't make any sense. Sure 2nd line is coming off contract, but G+P+F are all due raises so we'd basically spend the free money from that on the above and not have a second line.

Suter will be $8m+ ? He'll become the best paid defenseman in the league... At least Predators can't have both Weber and Suter on $8m contracts.

Look at the front loaded contracts people like Richards got when hitting UFA. You're going to have to pay a ******** of money and basically a front loaded contract to even get them thinking.

We all want some superstars signed, but unfortunately, we can`t do it without letting go at least one of our superstars. The truth is we are not as rich as Rangers, for example, when they signed Richards meanwhile keeping the core together.

Our advantage, though, is that we won't do that, and other teams might be weary of doing it with the CBA uncertainty. If we can go after him for 5/35, then we might be alright. If we ship Lubo out to make room, then yeah next year it's a big addition, but from this year it's only an addition of like $2 mil.

Pens like their 3 centers but with Crosby still out and and the unknown about his health going forward I doubt Shero trades Staal. And no to TK for me, on the second line.

Is Visnovsky really indispensable for us for next season? I know he will earn only 3 mln, but maybe his cap hit can be used for improve something else? I don't remember when he scored his last goal, Getzlaf replace him in the first PP unit...moreover we have Schultz and Vatanen, who are our future...I know they aren't in the same level as Lubo at this moment, but maybe we should give them a chance in main roster and try to sign real top six forward (center) or experienced all round d-man instead of Visnovsky ? Of course we all love Lubo, but...

If that's the way to go I rather say we switch Kennedy with someone else (a prospect?) and try Palmieri on that 2nd line RW.

And what is btw our 'internal cap' ?

Season ticket prices will be going down and there's no way the Ducks will be anywhere near the cap.

According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, Anaheim is ready to offer goalie Viktor Fasth a one-way contract after this season.

29 years old, undrafted.

0.934 and 2.04 GAA in SEL this season.

Source (for those who understand Swedish http://www.expressen.se/sport/hockey...-nhl-kontrakt/)

They're probably gonna play this down a bit, but this is a very reliable guy.

Not gonna be the only ones wanting him, though.

Apparently CBJ are looking to move their pick. WOW

Honestly, I would trade Bobby for it. Galchenyuk + Nail? Yes please. Fix our depth in 1 draft. Both of those guys can probably step into the NHL next year.
