You guys are like obsessed parents who are ecstatic every time your kid scores a goal. In the end you all need to realize the kid aint that good to be a pro and you have to just appreciate it for what he is. The sooner Garth realizes this , the easier it will be to get a better package in return.
If single games mattered sam gagner would be the best player in the nhl.

Like almost every year with the exception of 2009 with Tavares.
Or 2008 when we could have drafted Filatov.

Actually, back then folks on this board were all up in arms worried the Isles would go "off the board" and draft someone like Tyler Myers.

It's time to stop worrying about draft position. The places where we need to see improvement and hope is on the ice at the NHL level, not any more future draft picks. We'll draft where we draft, and hopefully a few years from now some of those players will be fighting for the last few spots on the team or providing chips that can be dealt for help at key spots.

We're deep in prospects. We need to start seeing wins on the ice.

Am I the only one that thinks that Okposo may be a little out of shape? His stamina on the ice seems really poor.

I have to disagree. The problem, IMO of course, is that no one ufa wants to be the guy stuck holding the bag on the Island. If they know Chuck is serious about surrounding the core with competent vets to make a playoff run now, they will sign. Instead they know it's likely just them and lots of kids.

And on Okposo, once again he was a useless POS tonight. Get this bum out of here.

Okposo half tries and is not effective at it.
The other half is inconsistant.

We need to understand that Okposo is not a top 6 forward on any NHL team. He has a lot of the tools to be a top 6 but he does not apply them, so he is what he is.....a third line inconsistant player who infuriates us. I would have rather kept Comeau if I wanted to have that kind of player. Comeau was more useful and was more responsive to coaching......and actually hit people, unlike Okposo who smiles at them.

He has no edge.

I think he could be much better in the right situation. The main reasons Okposo is struggling is because of Capuano and currently lack of confidence. He definitely has the tools to be a 50-60 point player maybe even more, but he just can't put it all together.

Before his serious injury it looked like he was blossoming into a 60+ point player.

Sadly they forgot to reconnect his balls after that injury.

Get rid of this **** -ing guy, along with Grabner and Bailey.

They've all had enough time.

Send 'em packing while they're worth something.

These are NOT the type of players you build with. The talent may be there (in pieces -- e.g., Grabner's speed), but the compete level and desire just aren't there.

Honestly, I see nothing special about Okposo at all.

Dump his ass.

What balls.

We talk like he played tough before hand.

He didn't.

I recall the countless threads about KO needing to throw the body and play tougher. Then, we get posters talking about him being a power forward.

Couldn't be further from the truth.

He's a weak softee in the corner and along the boards with that stupid toe drag move (ala Comrie) that works once a season.

Get him off this team in favor of someone with a sack.
