If it's #2 overall, that's all it should take. Grigorenko has the chance to be a franchize center... something the coyotes need MUCH more than OEL, as they have Yandle, Gormley and Rundblad

If Nashville gave Tambo permission to talk contract with RFA Shea Weber and you could come to reasonable contract terms.... ie $7.5 mil for 3? 4? 5 years? Would you move Edmonton's 1st pick (2012) as part of a deal to acquire Weber?

Instead of the "home run" I'm thinking maybe moves along the lines of

Sign Bryan Allen 2 years @ $3.2 million

Sign Josh Harding 2-3 years @ $3 million per

Move Nik Khabibulin to Tampa or a team looking to get to the cap floor.

Would be an OK off-season. Maybe target a Jordin Tootoo also.

My guess is Burke just wanted to get it over with. Plus the closer you get to Free Agency the easier it is for a player to turn down deals.

Honestly how many teams would be lining up to give him that on July 1st? Burke knew all year that this is what Grabovski wanted I would've dealt him and cut my loses.
