Out for the entire season to injury, played only 10 games this year. Nash and Bishop as out all year as well (although I know Nash is skating and they haven't said he's officially out for the season like they do with Conboy)

Maybe I'm not understanding the list, but doesn't that seem small? 13F, 7D, 2G - isn't that a tiny margin to allow for injuries? Are there loopholes (college players going pro, callups from the ECHL, etc.) that I'm not factoring in?

You can use players that aren't on the list if two or more players on the list are injured. Also any additional players they sign out of the NCAA or CHL don't need to be on the list.

Soooo apologies if this is old news, but what's the deal with Berger? Any reason he wouldn't be on the list?

Hamilton likely won't make the playoffs anyways... Really sucks when both teams miss it!

What about Quailer?

Is this a tell that he will be returning to college?

Or-

Is it not likely he would play with the Dogs when his team is done... very soon if I remember right from your last thread, MTL.

I didn't think that Fitzgerald had a contract with the Habs ?

In the end, Berger belonged in the ECHL anyway. I guess it has to with the injuries and his own injuries, but that's where he would have been if the Dogs would have been healthy.

And where is Slaney? So you acquire a guy and he's not good enough to be on a playoff roster?

Wow that's really too bad, those are all players i liked, especially Nash. I really wanted to see him progress this year and put pressure on our pint-sized D like Weber and Diaz. How long is he signed for, Nash?

Am I right in saying that as of now with 3 dmen injured we can only use one person not on the list, say Fast, that gives us 6 dmen. If a NCAA guy comes in we could use him also and then have seven?

He has struggled mightly all year.

Players from juniors don't need to be on the clear day roster. And yes Price did get called up, won a cup and was the youngest playoff mvp in AHL history.

Quailer's season is done, no clue what his or the habs plans are though. If he wants to turn pro he can go to Hamilton as soon as they sign him. He may want to finish his classes, the Habs may want him to rest since he just came back from a knee injury after missing an entire year to a knee injury.

He doesn't.

If the Dogs get some bodies back, no he's not good enough to be on a playoff roster imo.

They called up Malka again so he can play on defense as well.

He doesn't need to be on the list.

Any college players signed after the list is released can play.

Berger and Slaney are healthy scratches if everyone is healthy, but they are probably going to be on the "in residence list" which is the list of guys who can play if there aren't enough players left on the clear day list due to injuries and callups.

Is there any chance that Gallagher, Holland, Beaulieu, Bournival, Tinordi or Kristo join Bulldogs for the playoff ?

Bournival and Ellis will be going to the Mem Cup.

Beaulieu and St. John have a great chance to go to the Mem Cup.
Tinordi and London have a great chance to go to the Mem Cup.

Holland and Tri City and Gallagher and Vancouver are darkhorses,

None of those guys could join the Bulldogs before their CHL seasons end.

Kristo, Pateryn, Qualier are NCAA guys and are possibilities if they decide to leave school early, but this is no sure thing.

Its also unlikely the Dogs even make the playoffs at this point, so it might be a moot point.

The Dogs final game is April 15th, so if they somehow made the playoffs, you could see perhaps a couple guys there. Dogs will be hard pressed to make the playoffs though.

Quailer's season is over so he can join the Dogs if he wants to turn pro.

Kristo's team open the playoffs on Friday, so we'll see when their season ends if he wants to turn pro or not.

With as good of teams as Tri City, Sea Dogs and London are they could be in for a long playoff run and or a memorial cup run to join Bournival/Ellis. Will be interesting to see how far the giants go as getting Gallagher some AHL games would be good to see.

Pateryn won't be done at Michigan for a few weeks, they start their playoff run on friday but are close to a lock for the frozen four tourny.

I'm no Avtsin fan but Berger is worse.

Both have the tools to be so much more than they are.
