I agree, Fedotenko should sit. He looks like he is banged up and needs a few days off.
Strals looked as bad as Scott in his 1st game, but he's been a stalwart ever since...

Any chance Biron is in goal tonight (please?) Looks like no Ponikarovsky tonight, Greene is a gametime decision, and Parise will play.

Henrik Lundqvist will be in net for the Rangers, Marty Brodeur for the Devils.

Hank is in for sure. Is Janssen playing?

FiOS users, what channel is the game showing up on, on your guide? I know the game is supposed to be on MSG2 but FiOS only shows a 1 hour block of hockey and then it's showing Knicks basketball starting at 8:30... WTH!

Good to see Hank confirmed for tonight.

Should mean Biron against Ottawa and Hank back in goal for the Hawks.

A game where I think Scott should play, and Cally comes back. Obviously all things considered I'd much rather have Callahan in the lineup over Scott. But against the Devs? Sit Mitchell, play Scott.

Considering he only has had one full practice... decent. He is already the best offensive defenseman on the team. He has made some really great passes. Besides the Washington game on Friday, Kovy, Zubrus, Elias, and Henrique have gone completely cold offensively. Poni is hurt as well... so since Zid hasn't scored a goal yet everyone's calling him a bust... but I think when the switch flicks back on for our offense it will make him look a lot better. I'm still happy we have him considering the players we gave up were absolute rubbish. It's really a 2nd round pick for Zids.

I don't know if that answers your question lol.

I love how (this is not directed at you) at first the league was laughing at the Devils for the contract and the trade and so on... now when everyone watches him play they can only say "...wow." and want them on their team.

Kovy is amazing and we're lucky to have him. As long as Gabby stays healthy you have your superstar right there. And no, you can't have Parise either. haha.

His shot is amazing and ask the Flyers Schenn about his fighting skills...

I have to say I think Daneyko and Stevens would be terrible in today's NHL. Same with the duo of Madden and Pandolfo. With the increased speed and how young and skilled the players are today, these guys would have trouble keeping up. The Devils came late to the "new NHL" party. You can see Lou is still clinging on to the old says signing guys like Salvador, Andrew Peters last year, Janssen, Boulton, and so on. As far as defensemen, Niedermayer was set in going to Anaheim. The Devils even offered more money but he wanted to play with his brother. Nothing NJ could do about that. Rafalski is the only one I miss... but in a cap world, he was asking for 6 mil and that was a TON. Paul Martin had Scott Gomez syndrome. Thrived with the Devils, commanded a large contract, and never lived up to it. Pens fans hate Martin just as much as everyone hates Gomez. I would say keep an eye out for the Devils defense. Even without a UFA signing, Larsson is maturing and Merrill is coming. It will get a whole lot better in 1-3 years.

I agree. The biggest arguments against him were the lazy selfish Russian, not a team player, can't play defense.

Now, he's a penalty killer, fights to protect his teammates, and is the definition of a team player. It's exactly what Ovechkin is struggling to accomplish in Washington. Kovy is actually looking like a much more valuable player than OV nowadays.

Players got old, the NHL changed how you play the game and the lockout...add on top of that losing players at the same time and you get what we have now.

I get the Stralman scratch when you've got 8 healthy d-men. If he continues to sit, that's another issue.
