This is exactly what I was afraid of during the streak. There tends to be a rubber band effect on marginal teams like the Coyotes.

It was always pretty pointless, but it was the only thing to really talk about so it's okay. I mean what else do you say during a month like February? HEY WE DON"T SUCK!. Then what.....

Losing to the worst team in the league TWICE in a week.

:EMBARRASSING

11TH PLACE HERE WE COME? Too bad we suck at drafting.

I'm putting my faith in this team on the shoulders of Knickle.

Tippet was the one that decided to start Smith, even though Smith wanted to start.
This game was lost in the first 2 minutes. What a shame.

Just got back from watching the game.

First strike, our team looked terrible.

After LOL went in, I feel we did well. That was a rediculous call on the goal where the CBJ player was sitting on top of LOL.

I felt the refs were trying to give us a freebie later on, that goaltender interference call was a joke. But we didn't cash in with our opportunities.

Either way, we have to come out playing every game like we did against the Penguins.

First time under Dave Tippett we've dropped four straight in regulation.

When does klesla come back? Schlemko? Chip?

I am hglad stone and rud are getting experience but we need our best team out there now.

rundblad looked very soft defensively. its never going to be his best skill but he needs to throw the body around a little. Lean, but weight on the forwards etc in the corners. he looks like he stands at arms length pokes with his stick and avoids contact at all cost. that wont cut it

Anyone else really soured about Rozsival right now? I used to think we should work on extending him but right now I'm thinking we an use his cash on upgrading our forward group. Aucoin I'm still on side for another year just to have a seasoned vet that you can bring in and out of the lineup.

Pyatt still sucks. The sooner we can get him off this team the better.

Agree, not worth the 5 mil. Looks like age is catching up to him.

He's usually solid but has bad games. Either way, this should be his last season with us, regardless.

Pyatt is -5 with 15 pts, of which I remember exactly zero. I'd waive him right now. On a much more saddening note, Whitney is +22 while Doan is -10. That's a team low if you disregard Vermette and Rundblad. Langkow is -9. Between Rozi, Pyatt and Langkow you have $10.5 million that isn't contributing anything and is arguably hurting the team.

This is a 1 line team and that line is probably the 2nd line for most teams. Winning has a way of covering up the shoddiness of a roster. But have a few players go down or cold, and it really really shows. Tippett's maniacal, nonsensical scrambling of the lines (Biz and Langkow?) doesn't help.

They need to get back to thug life(tm) simple hockey. You aren't talented. Embrace it.

That's pretty much the worst that could happen. Get on a winning streak right before the deadline, acquire a pricey player in Vermette, skip on trading Whitney or Doan, only to fall flat on your face 2 weeks later. Yuck.

30pts left. We need 20 of them to make it for sure.

10-5-0
9-3-2
8-2-4

Are the only semi realistic ways of getting there.

Yeah, we've really made this tough on ourselves.

Erase two first period collapses against Columbus and give us three points out of thaat mess. Erase two last minute collapses against Dallas earlier in the year and give us two points out of that mess.

We'd be at 80pts, right there. Sitting pretty with a comfortable division lead. Just by not completely ******** the bed twice against Dallas and twice against Columbus.

We deserve to be at 75pts right now. I feel like its an accurate reflection of this teams body of work to this point.

We need to put all of this behind us. The win streak the losing streak. All of it.

We are in the mix and its a fifteen game season. Play like q team that deserves to make the post season and we will. Play like a team that shouldnt make it and we won't. This team decides their own destiny right now. That's about all you can ask for. Especially with Klesla due back this weekend.

Doan wasn't going to be traded no matter what and Whitney at best would have given us a 1st round pick by a team expected to go deep into the playoffs. No matter what the team did we weren't going to get the 1st overall in the draft or get a new owner even if we won the cup.

We are ****ed no matter how you look at it.

Anyone else scared of CLB next year besides me? With the likely #2 pick and the 1st they got from LA trade, they are gonna be pretty darn good...on paper of course. If they can smooth over the Nash debacle and fire Howson, then they might be a much better team next year. What do you guys think?

Edmonton. With all that talent and available money - they can spend to the cap, I'm far more worried about Edmonton than I am about CBJ.
