Tough loss, if true. Especially with an important stretch of games coming up..

This will be a tough loss. But a silver (err maybe rust) lining is that line is defensively poor, and trying someone in the place of Lupul will be useful to see how much GA are impacted. Ideally, this person would be a big body (heck maybe even Kulemin) to cycle, grind and free up space for Kessel.

Carlyle should give him an A when he gets back 1) as a piece offering and 2) cause he deserves it

I'm actually surprised he has gone till this point in the season without an injury. Rest up the shoulder Joffrey we'll see you next year!

Didn't see the game...just the replay. How many games would a Leaf get suspended for hitting from behind if they did that to Boston's best player? Or rephrasing, which of our best players wouldn't finish the game due to serious injury if a Leaf did that to a Boston player?

Carlyle takes over as head coach and Lupul gets hurt. Coincidence? Me don't think so. He's faking it!!!

Definitely not a good way for the season to end for Lupul if it does end up being that bad. Has really had one heck of a season after all. Still shouldn't rush him back into it, want him to have a mostly healthy summer so he can continue at this level of play.

Of course doesn't hurt the teams ability to tank it into the ground. But would have preferred Lupul staying healthy.

Carlyle definitely paid Krejci to do it.

Either broke his collar bone or separated his shoulder. Hopefully they let him shut it down for the rest of the year and he comes back even stronger next year. Great year for him. Exceeded tons of expectations. Brutal injury though. Not much he could've done.

Yeah it definitely looked like a collarbone just from the way his arm was kind of drooping.

Hopefully it is a collarbone because it's a quicker heal than a shoulder and less chance of ligament damage.

If it's shoulder and it needs surgery, it could never be the same again. He could have problems for the rest of his life. Hopefully, like you said it is a collarbone. Looked pretty bad though.

Very disappointing news. Lupul was such a key piece of this team. We'll it'll make the tank that much easier to bear.

Well, he could turn out like Roberts and come back with super bionic shoulders, and take ZERO prisoners. It'll be good for next year's cup run...

That'd be something else if Lupul goes and works out with Roberts. Look at their injuries, somewhat similar in a way too.

Oh oh...I wanted him to get 30 goals and 80 points sucks..Get well Lupul and be fired up for next year, playoffs were well out of reach with the schedule we have so he doesn't really have to play with an injury even if it was minor.

Top 5 pick, we're coming . WIN THE LOTTERY and draft Yakupov lol.

Sorry that he got hurt. Hope he's in great shape and ready for training camp if he's out for the season. He's been a tremendous contributor for the team this year.

btw I did not think the hit was dirty. The hit on Connolly was, but the hit on Lupul was a hockey hit.
