Is a "Tank" possible?

We tried to win tonight ~ if we want a top 2 pic, can we deliberately choose to lose with Edm and Columbus behind us?? What does "tanking" a game look like??

Don't get me wrong, I am ALL in favor of pick #1, or #2? But ........ why win for 5th??

You can't 'tank' on purpose. You can't tell your guys to lose.

You can sit out an injured guy like Markov though and you can play your backup goalie a little more.
