For all the Kuba haters that wanted him traded at the deadline. 28 plus minutes of ice plus 2, 2 assists 2 shots.

I wish we had 2 more Kubas.

They would think that, other people might think they are lucky the NHL rarely calls diving.

The Stamkos interference call was a bit questionable, looked like he tried to avoid Bishop, but still clipped his helmet. Could have went either way, Foligno's got called for less though.

Other then that penalty I would say they shouldn't have any complaints.

No assist for Karlsson of the Turris goal? seems a little sketchy.

No, that Stamkos call was pathetic. They have point to be mad at that call. Big call too, game changing even.

I don't feel bad though, we've been on the other side of those more often than not this year. We were due for one to break on our side.

I didn't catch the 3rd period - is there a reason the tampa net was empty with 10 seconds left when down 3 goals?

Yeah, the Stamkos call was awful.

I'm glad we scored.

The Stamkos interference call may have been bad but he deserved a hooking call or two throughout the game, I consider it a makeup call.

Great game last night by the team, oh and congrats to Michalek on getting the hat trick. Still think he hits 40 goals this season.

PeterSidorkiewicz^, well if you did read through the thread I also agreed with/mentioned that the early butterflying could have been due to nerves as well, as you want to make the safest play possible.

It was more of an initial impression of his play.
I know Pete, I read those posts, but my comment was more to add to the discussion. I think the guy was nervous. The first and third goals were most likely impossible to stop. I wanted a huge stop on the Stamkos goal too, because it was a key moment and I was nervous like all Sens fans, but then I realized it was Stamkos all alone with a perfect shot. Bishop had all the angles except top corner. He reacted properly and even went out to challenge but it was Stamkos. And to be honest, it was a low % pass to find Stamkos, through all those skates.

On the first TB goal, Daugavins* missed his assignement (like he oftenly do) and let Shannon walk in the slot (as a goalie I hate that). People blaming Gonchar in GDT had no clue. At the speed of the NHL game (and even in other levels), the gap was too far between Gonchar and Shannon. Daugavins let Shannon walk in the slot unchallenged.

* Daugavins positioning sucks at even straight. IMO he won't back with the Sens next year and maybe even not in the NHL.

Weve had our fair share of lame goaltender interference calls so I will take it when we can get it.... Remember the Anaheim game I think??? Goal got waved off because the goalie grabbed Foligno and got taken out of the net??

I wish they would let the incidental contact go and punish actually running the goalie much more strictly...

Greening on Thomas last week= joke
Stamkos on Bishop= joke

Lucic on Miller= serious

Doesn't change the fact that it was a bad call.

Now, they could have killed the penalty, but they didn't.

I think Boucher expected a miracle (they were still on the PP too). He called a late pretty pointless time out too.

Whar Karlsson assist on Turris goal, whar?

Quote:
78.1 Goals and Assists - It is the responsibility of the Official Scorer to award goals and assists, and his decision in this respect is final, notwithstanding the report of the Referee or any other game official. The use of video replay to verify the proper awarding of a goal or an assist is essential. Such awards shall be made or withheld strictly in accordance with the provisions of this rule. Therefore, it is essential that the Official Scorer be thoroughly familiar with every aspect of this rule; be alert to observe all actions which could affect the awarding of a goal or assist; and, above all, give or withhold awards with absolute impartiality.
In case of an obvious error in awarding a goal or an assist that has been announced, it should be corrected promptly, but changes should not be made in the official scoring summary after the Referee has signed the game report (except by the League’s Chief Statistician).

78.3 Crediting Assists - When a player scores a goal, an “assist” shall be credited to the player or players taking part in the play immediately preceding the goal, but no more than two assists can be given on any goal. Each “assist” shall count one point in the player’s record. Only one point can be credited to any one player on a goal.

Doesn't say anything about opponents touching the puck :-/

The puck was basically stripped off of Karlsson's stick by the opponent.

Kind of hard to give that an assist.

I'm sure they would argue that the play ended when he lost possession to the opposing team's actions.
