Haley is not just a fighter. Had 12 goals in 50+ games last year and 10 goals this year. I'm sure he can score more than Reasoner's 0 goals. AND add toughness.

that's what a true 4th liner is supposed to be, not some old fart whose friends with snow or weight and is here to just take a quick paycheck.

I came here to ask this simple question (after watching some Tigers games this season).

How the hell is Haley not on the Island as a 4th line energy guy, instead of wasting away in the AHL?

Please... We've been asking this same question forever.

The case for not having Haley on our 4th line can not be that he is a talentless slug who is only good for banging heads. That may be Gillies (as much as I admire his enthusiasm and willingness to do a nasty job). But Haley can skate his shift, is at least average if not slightly better speed, and has 12 goals this season in the AHL.
He is not a gut that you have to limit to 2,3 minutes a game and hope he doesnt get skated around.
I don't want him here just for his fighting, but I do want him here if his fighting is needed as part of the game for deterence, for retribution, to change momentum.
We are wasting what he can do for this team and were doing it to play Jay 0 goals Pandolfo.

Lets add that he plays center and plays on the first PK unit and second PP unit as well. Now of course we don't need him to play PP up here but if people want to complain about Pandalfo can play center and PK well there you go...so can Haley.

Haley can fight, hit, and score goals at times. How the hell is he not on the 4th line. He would bring so much to this team. Absolutely ridiculous he hasn't been on this team all year. Its simple decisions like this that the Islanders organization cannot get right. And of course when you cannot make a simple, obvious decision, how are you supposed to make the harder ones?
