I don't know if I would want Radulov on the Preds team, his bad attitude/premadonna attitude and being full of himself seems like it would do more harm than good for the Preds team in the long run and disrupt their flow or cause problems/drama sometime down the road if he was on the team. So unless he is the best NHL scorer there ever was/is or the highest producing scorer on the Preds team, I rather not have him on the team. He seems like a time bomb waiting to happen if he doesn't get his way. If he can tone it down some (i.e. the antics) and be a top scorer for the team, then I would be okay w/ him coming back.

(for your translating pleasure)

Here is an article by Pavel Lysenkov on Radulov and he thinks he may be coming back. Lysenkov is one of the most legitimate journalists in Russia. He's the person that Dmitri Chesnokov gets a lot of his information from. Radulov also apologized today for going off on the arena personnel.

Thanks. Does specify if he's coming back this offseason or right after the KHL playoffs?

Frankly, this team has a very small chance at a Stanley Cup as is. With a producing, goal scoring Radulov, our chances increase. Yes, some people will say "he will disrupt chemistry" or whatever. Same could be said of AK46. Most players like Radulov. He will be welcomed back with open arms my most.

Our chanes are much better with him than without him. If he wants to come back, we have to make it happen. Make it part of the deal that he signs an reasonable extensions before coming back. That way, even if he doesn't fit in, we trade him for a king's ransom down the road.

In 6.5 hours (9 AM CST) and Ak Bars leads the best of 7 series by a 3:1 count. This is the first of three straight elimination games for Radulov's team. They must win them all to keep their season alive...

He probably would be the bolded part.

Dude needs to come back. We already know he is skilled. If he makes it work in the locker room with his attitude, he's the top 6 forward we've been aching for. If he doesn't, we can trade him for something valuable. Either way, he's an asset.

Also, just to add....a couple years ago, Trotz alluded to me that he thought something shady was going on when Rads went to the KHL. He didn't know what specifically, but he seemed to think it was more than just Rads being an immature ****** (although that was definitely a factor as well). I don't know if it was the organized crime aspect or what, but something weird was going on.

I wonder if that "something weird" will be a factor on his way back. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Russian officials may tell Rads that if he leaves for the NHL, he won't be included in IIHF competitions anymore. Is stuff like that just conspiracy theories, or do things really work that way over there?

Just wondering if there are obstacles to Radulov leaving Russia beyond his own desire to come back.

Well...it did come straight from Trotz to me (not the being excluded from IIHF stuff, but just a general feeling that something sketch was going on). I consider him a pretty reliable source.

It would benefit both sides more for him to come back and get a full training camp and pre-season in.
I wonder what Poile thinks...in that ESPN article linked a few pages back he sounded like he'd welcome Rads back whenever he decides to come, including if it's this year. Seems like DP is trying to go balls to the wall for the Cup this year, as it may be the last year we have Suter and Weber together. If he continues to follow that plan, he'd accept Rads coming back this year for sure.

...Anyone know how that works, BTW? If Radulov decides he wants to come back next week for example, are the Predators free to say no, keep him suspended, and keep the last year of his contract intact?

To go deep yes. He's a world class forward and Nashville could definitely use a premier offensive guy for the run. He could be the difference between a trip to the finals and losing in the conference finals. You don't think the team would be better with Radulov than Yip?
