I meant killstreaks. I disliked in AC I and II that if you had to fight multiple enemies that you would need to wait for an attack, counter, wait for an attack, counter, rinse and repeat. I thought it was much more engaging/fluid to counter the first guy then be able to just cut a bloody swath through the rest of them in quick succession.

I never had a problem with gameplay/combat/stealth etc. in Brotherhood/Revelations.
it felt like counter and killstreak timing was changed in Revelations and it made the combat more "stiff" feeling to me.

But the mini-games were a complete chore with no excitement or fun at all.
Agreed.

The one thing I want is for them to fix/improve the assassin's guild for ACIII. I want more control over my recruits. Let me be able to set them to specialize in a given weapon/task, deploy specific assassin's when and where I want, and for the love of god, make sure they don't just have 2 faces and 3 hair designs like they did in Revelations. The ones in Brotherhood seemed far more diverse, even if it was just because of a couple extra faces and the occasional appearance/rarity of a recruit with blonde hair.

I really liked the historical references to the medieval age in the last games. I liked the old cities with their momuments and old buildings. And yes i am disappointed that it will be in the US at this stage. (Probably only small buildings, no monuments and so on)

PS: Don't understand me wrong, i'm interested in the History of NA, but it just isn't the same anymore.

Honestly, coming into this year, I was very disappointed with the upcoming releases, not actually being excited for anything really, but I'm excited for this now.

There won't be gigantic buildings or any huge landmarks, but there were buildings and cities at that time. This is a drawing of part of New York in 1776:

And this is part of Boston:

They won't have the size that you might see in other possible cities, but America had been colonized for more than 150 years before the Revolution, it's not like it was a bunch of huts. It does seem that the wilderness will be a big part of it though, so I'm wondering how running around in the trees is going to be.

Plus, if the trailer is anything to go by, you'll now traverse through forests like a lemur.

Anyone else notice the shape of the hatchet is the Assassins logo? I thought that was a nice touch. Super pumped to see what the new engine will look like.

I'm curious to know who the main antagonist is. Early speculation (and purely a guess) is this guy, although he died in 1807 which would make for a 30 year story (although sequels could be in order):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Brant

Easily could be an ally though.

ACII covered like 20-30 years over the course of the game. It wasn't very obvious all the time because character models didn't change except for Ezio growing a beard, but if you watch the dates that pop up at the start of each chapter, sometimes there are several year gaps between the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next one.

I saw an AC3 ad on TV. Pretty crazy they're showing ads this early.

That's a decent amount of people on screen at once, looks pretty nice too. Probably won't get this till six months after launch, Ubi drops the price of their games pretty quickly (Revelations is 20 bucks now, 5 months after release)

I hope this is better than Revelations, I only got through like the first hour or so and it just wasn't as fun as past games.

The opening bit of Revelations isn't very good. Once you get into the city the gameplay picks up. I didn't like how the first sequence of the game was really cinematic. The carriage and climbing parts just seemed off.

When I first got it, I played the first bit, got into the city, and didn't play for a couple of months. Then I started playing a couple of weeks ago again and couldn't stop playing. Just beat it 20 minutes ago or so.

-------

Would anyone recommend buying the DLC for Revelations? I hear it's helpful in explaining the whole Lucy thing.

From what I heard, it's just more of the memory block building levels.

Personally I didnt like that part of Revelations, and found them kind of annoying.

I'm going to wait until it's offered as part of a game release or edition, instead of spending the $10 on PSN.
