So, what are the odds of the boo-birds being all over Buff this game?

And what are the odds he eats it up and asks for another helping?

I look forward to seeing a repeat of this performance...

Not that it really matters, but we've only lost 2 in a row. But yes, we are slumping.

This makes pre-scouting the Canucks much easier for the Jets. They already literally know them from an insider's perspective.
Very astute point, something I hadn't considered. Either way, should be fun! Definitely have a soft spot for you guys, you took teriffic care of a lot of our prospects over the years. Off the top of my head - Burrows, Kesler, Bieksa, Raymond, Hansen, Schneider, Edler, Tanev and that's just off the current team's roster.

Any word on your guys' starting lineup? Ours looks to be...

D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Burrows
Higgins - Kesler - Booth
Raymond - Pahlsson - Hansen
Malhotra - Lapierre - Kassian

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Salo/Rome
Tanev - Gragnani/Rome

Schneider

* Tanev is going in, so someone is coming out. Rome would be the popular choice, but they might opt to rest Salo because he's looked quite fatigued of late.

EDIT: Also, the Twins are in a massive slump - 6 games with no points. Longest pointless streak for them in years.

Line-up should be:

Ladd - Little - Wheeler
Kane - Burmistrov - Wellwood (I think you know this guy )
Stapleton - Antropov - Miettinen
Glass (hi! ) - Slater - Thorburn

Enstrom - Byfuglien (he's sad Luongo isn't starting )
Clitsome - Hainsey
Stuart - Jones

Pavelec with the start. Looking forward to it! Should be a good tilt.

Byfuglien's regular season stats against Vancouver (and Luongo) are actually rather uninspiring. Flip the chart onto his playoff stats, however, and it's cringe worthy for Vancouver fans (grin inducing for you guys).

And the return of Wellfed! He actually has his share of fans amongst the Vancouver HF Faithful, although many of us were happy to see him eat () his words about the Canucks being afraid to lose when the Nucks defeated the Sharks in 5 last year.

Fehr should be in for Miettinen for at least one of the VAN/CGY games, IMO. It's still possible that we will need him down the stretch if we get any injuries and he hasn't played in a while, time to get him a game to stay sharp. Not to mention Miettinen has been mediocre to bad himself, give Fehr a game I say.

Hah! That's cool - we did our own earlier for a Bruins game, based on the ones coming out of Vancouver.

To be honest he was way out of line in that series, but I like Byfuglien. He's a great talent, and a unique talent - wish we had him on the Canucks.

Not sure, I don't have a problem with taunting the crowd. Plenty of Canucks do it, notably Kesler and Burrows, but even the Sedins (in Boston in January.) It's something our guys have been crucified for before, but we're always saying we want more personality in the game.

Not just the taunting the crowd, but he was very disrespectful to Luongo when they knocked us out in game 6. But like I said no biggie - I like big Buff.

Canuck fan here ....based on the Canuck's downhill slide of late, I think it might be best if the Canucks forfeit this one. They haven't lost too many lately but have been very lucky to escape some games with one or two points for the last while. One thing that has me even more worried is that in the aftergame interview, D. Sedin doesn't see a problem with the way they played the last game. I guess since the Canucks have been getting points with subpar efforts lately, he probably doesn't notice anything different and thinks they just got some unlucky bounces in that last game against Dallas. Actually Dallas got some unlucky bounces otherwise they would have probably won by at least 5 goals. Hopefully this doesn't make me look like I don't like the Sedins or the team, because I do and think the Sedins are great guys to look up to and have provided lots of entertaining hockey. However currently, if a team is able to bring all their effort and focus they will trounce the Canucks.
Oh, also, glad to see you might make the playoffs and I enjoy your fans enthusiasm and cheering during the game,...except the one thing I don't like is when they chant the opposing goaltender's name. It doesn't seem like good sportsmanship and I know other fans do that as well including ours....love the cheering, hate the jeering...except when you pick an opposing player to boo that seems ok because it kindof shows a measure of respect, in a way.

Luongo is an overrated idiot who is pretty full of himself and IMHO deserves whatever negative stuff he gets directed his way from players and fans.

I look forward to his collapse in this year's playoffs.

Then he disappears, like in the playoffs.

That isn't going to change so you should probably get used to it.
