Davey can flat out score goals, we all know that. But he is still prone to some bone-headed moments out there. They are being toned down more and more, but hopefully by the time the playoffs roll around here is purely a goal scoring threat and the defensive liability is gone.
Sometimes I wish Raymond wasn't on this team. That way, there would be no need to contemplate putting him on the second line. Obviously he's got good defensive abilities and is best on the 3rd/4th line, but with AV behind the bench you just don't know... (see Aaron Rome)
As I've stated in the Kassian thread, Booth really needs to watch tape of himself. I probably counted four to five times he created space with his speed and missed a wide open player. He creates a lot of open space for other players but he doesn't seem to notice it.
Whenever Raymond gets moved or starts playing better, Booth will be the new whipping boy at forward. He's still new and shiny right now but people will get tired of him not being able to take or make a pass or stickhandle or hit or shoot. He does go to the net though.

He can definitively stickhandle and shoot. His passing is horrible, though.

That's what happens when you're a shoot-first guy, you develop tunnel vision. It's also why I think Kassian is the perfect fit for the 2nd line because he's fast, is big, can hit, can fight, and can more importantly pass the biscuit. Something we oh so greatly need on that 2nd line.
Very good addition but he needs to keep his head up. He's been lucky so far but somebody is going to rock him if he isn't more aware of his surroundings. With his head injuries he has to start keeping his head up, he's no use injured.
Despite the brain fart tonight, Booth is quickly becoming my favorite player to watch. He reminds of what Raymond would be like if he was any good.
Booth and Raymond are two different players.
Raymond is the superior forechecker and defender. Booth has about 20-30 pounds on him (same height) while skating just as fast as him. He also prefers to power through defenders rather than trying to dangle them.
David sent a funny tweet this afternoon about eating a gas station sandwich. I think he's kidding and his tweet was a response to Kesler's tweet a few hours earlier about eating a Montreal smoked meat sandwich at the Four Seasons Hotel.
David is known as a fitness and health nut so don't know why he would put that awful junk food through his body....
This play really, really gave me hope when I saw it. I wish Booth would learn to make that pass 50% of the time he is in such a situation... cause if he did, we wouldn't have to worry about the Sedins not producing.
