- Ward is day to day. Could be back any game and they're just being "cautious", which I don't really buy.

- LaRose is practicing fully, but supposedly is still a few games away. Seems a bit suspect to me.

- Brian Boucher is still a week away, but has been practicing.

- Nothing new on Pitkanen. My guess is he gets in the lineup by Tuesday or Thursday if there's a spot created for him.

- Ruutu still out 1-2 more weeks.

Is it bad that I forgot Dwyer was even a Hurricane? I was actually like "oh. yeah." when I just saw his name on the injury list...

I never thought he really added anything to anything except a 4th line. Hopefully that's where he slots in when he comes back.

Sure. Not really good at anything else though. Decent speed helps him on the PK, but his lack of hands really prevents him from doing anything at even strength.

Likable guy, SHOULDN'T be on a 3rd line in the NHL though.

Agreed. I think he's a good fit for the 4th, but I cringe when he's out there with Sutter sometimes.

Somehow, I had the idea that Ruutu was out with a shoulder injury....but now Im wondering if its a concussion...Anyone know?

If it was a concussion, they'd probably have said something by now. No use hiding anything at this point. I'm sure it's just a lingering issue. No contact at all with the head during the hit in question.

Yep, Ruutu surprisingly had his first practice today and seems good to go. Pitkanen also skated a bit before practice but didn't take part in the official stuff.

No updates yet. Will probably have something this afternoon. No word on if he traveled to NY with the team.

It's likely either a shoulder or something in that area. He was holding it after a hit, so definitely not a concussion.

He still hasn't been cleared for contact so he's still a few games away. Probably will only get a few at the end of the year, if that.
