I just hate the ones who yell at the screen and critique every play...as if you could do better
Or the ones who watch abit of the game and if the team is playing poorly, they start trashing them.
I think Vancouver really has the worse "fans".....
This describes my older brother perfectly. He'll watch about half of ONE period and say some stupid ****. I also don't like watching games with him in general because he shows zero enthusiasm. I remember Lapierre scoring in game 5 and jumping around the living room while he was still sitting on the couch looking skyward. BLAH. But then there's my cousin (who isn't really a big fan) but is probably the best person to watch the playoff games with.

I don't think it helps that we have a hockey crazed fanbase, with a large city population because people just tend to go with what's cool it seems. Canucks doing bad? It's cool to critisize. Canucks doing good? We all of a sudden have 1 million new big fans.
I laughed at the S*** Canucks Fans Say video, and hopefully they do a part 2 because there's just so much to use.
Actually they'd barely qualify as 'real' Canucks fans given their bandwagon jumping, but whatever. You'd never run out of things to include though. Makaveli needs to be in on this!
I'm on another forum and lol @ the "fans" there who were panicking at the beginning of the season when the team started off around 12th in the standings with 70+ games to play.
They're the same ones panicking over the Sedin's recent play. I'd rather see them slumping now, than during the playoffs for when it MATTERS.
Also major lulz at the ones who trash the Canucks when they're down 1-0 EARLY in the game. I always tell people "RELAX, there's more hockey to be played"
PensFan6687! How's it going? We've missed you on this board, hope you've been enjoying the Jets so far this year. Still cheer on the Canucks then? Would be nice to see Winnipeg in the playoffs again.
Cheers. It sucks that the Canucks didn't win, but I made it down to Vancouver twice during the Cup run to watch games with the whole family where he was there: Game 4 against San Jose (4-2 win with all the 5-on-3 goals) and Game 2 of the SCF (Burrows' dramatic OT wraparound). I'll always have those.
He was great for waiting for all of us to pipe down after cheering/yelling at something and then calling something out, crystal clear, that would make us all laugh. There was a play in Game 2 of the SCF where the whole family thought there should have been a penalty. There was about 20 of us in the room, all shouting and yelling at the TV. The very second we all stopped yelling at the ref who couldn't hear us, Grandpa's voice rings out loud and clear:

I am always following the Canucks. You can't follow a team that closely with a fine tooth comb for all those years and just quit cold turkey. I have three teams. Man, I am such a *****.

Mark Muhf***** Chipman. Give this man the key to the city, if they haven't already done so.
And David Thomson. If it weren't for him purchasing the old Eatons building in downtown Winnipeg on Portage, which is now the MTS Centre, Chipman wouldn't have had the proposed idea to start up True North and have the Moose play out of there. Having a guy with deep pockets like that definitely helped our cause. So I think they both deserve keys to the city. Not that they need it. We're making them more rich as we get more poor. hehe
Don Cherry calls a lot of things, and get's quite a few right (more then you'd think) and he just happened to be wrong on his prediction of the most important one:
He said the Canucks would win the Cup.
To be fair, the senile old man didn't say which year

My heart hurts.
Pittsburgh got back there. Even after a mid season coaching change (man is Byslma brilliant) Not saying Vancouver is Pittsburgh, but it can happen.

Yeah, I was just watching their highlights against Detroit as well (I was cheering for them that year; I really can't believe they made it all the way back). I'm just feeling a bit disheartened at the moment.

I cheered for them too both years. The year before the Canucks had missed the playoffs and I was po'd at them, so I chose a new team. Canucks were still in my heart, so I stuck with them and so did the Pens. Now I have the Jets too. I spend my time doing two things: working at 2 jobs and watching hockey

Then get of HF, seriously. HF is filled with negativity, and they make little things seem like the biggest problems. They make everything look worse then it is.

There's nothing wrong with him feeling disheartened. Most Canucks fans are. It's called being a fan. Negative or positive. People are allowed to voice opinions.

I'm not trying to be negative. I think the Canucks have a good shot, and I'm not saying anything critical of the team anyways. I'm just thinking about how tough it is to get back to the Finals and how close we were last season. Am I not allowed to feel upset about that from time to time?

im not saying you're negative, im saying hf vancouver as a whole is. And sorry its not called being a fan, when you hope for certain players to suck so you can boast about your favorite players on the team. And after every loss the world is over were posters you ve never seen come out to tell you how much the canucks suck. This is the state of HF vancouver

What?
I know this board can be pretty insane after a loss, but I'm not one of those posters.
