According to Andy Strickland ,the Blues are not just losing money. They are hemorraging(sp) money.
They are looking for a new owner.
My worry is that Peltz and Repole, local billionaires interested in the Isles ,will end up buying other franchises while Wang plays his game of chicken, with Nassau County pols.

Was watching the Rags/Bruins game and Rolston shattered the glass with a slapshot Happy Gilmore style with 2:53 left in first so the refs just suspended it and sent the teams to intermission. The remaining 2:53 was played right before the second period... Really bizarre.
Tim Wallace simply shouldn't have been put on waivers. I realize Snow prolly just didn't think in a hundred years that anyone would have taken him.
But still, in hindsight, and unfortunately we'd pretty much all have said this if we had had the chance to do so, Wallace should have stayed and played 4th line minutes while Niederreiter was sent back to Portland. Wallace checked more than anyone on the team other than Martin and he got his nose dirty. He wasn't even bad with the puck. He clearly did what the coach asked of him.
Snow could have done right with Niederreiter while maintaining a solid, hard-working 4th liner who was EARNING his pay.
Now we don't even have this guy for Bridgeport's playoff run, where he SURELY could have helped. The guy had 20 points in 24 games before being called up to the bigs.
Yet another little miscalculation on Snow's behalf that wasn't thought out properly.
All the more reason to be sour about how gobs of players went through waivers shortly before the deadline and Snow didn't feel it necessary to even try and rectify this little blunder.
And this ain't the first time...
These little disappoint me - as much as the little inconsistencies on the ice that have led to so many losses this year.
Wallace wouldn't be able to participate in Bridgeport's playoff run. That's part of the reason why Snow put him on waivers, and its why he didn't do it earlier.
He tried to sneak him through and it failed. Not a huge deal though.
Boston has lost 4 in a row and are in 7th place. If Pitt overtakes the Rags than we could be looking at a Boston Rags opening Round. A few weeks ago I thought this would be the conference final.
He was awful with us, now suddenly he has 8 points in 13 games. Oh well I like this team much better without him.
I have to believe that after the Isles slow start, he just stopped trying. He went from an irrelevant hockey team here on the Island to a city that breathes hockey day in and day out.
All comes down to effort and clearly it wasn't there with the Isles.
