March 20: Gustafsson and Manning loaned to Phantoms (AHL)

When Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren decided to make the call to Adirondack on Wednesday to summon players to Philadelphia for his injury depleted lineup, it made sense that a forward would be on his way.
Jaromir Jagr is doubtful tonight with an apparent hip injury, and the Flyers still are not sure if Jake Voracek is ready to play after that crushing blow from Detroit’s Niklas Kronwall on Tuesday night.
Turns out, that forward summoned was familiar face Harry Zolnierczyk, who skated in 36 games earlier this season .
But Zolnierczyk curiously arrived with defenseman Brandon Manning.
Has another Flyers defenseman gone done with an injury?
Left wing Harry Zolnierczyk and defenseman Brandon Manning will be in Philadelphia for tonight's game and will be available to play.
Zolnierczyk has played in 36 games for the Flyers this season, registering three goals and two assists. He was sent back to the Phantoms after the Flyers' Feb. 5 loss to the New York Rangers.
Manning has yet to play in a game at the NHL level. In 32 games with the Phantoms this year, the 21-year-old defenseman has four goals and five assists.
Considering the recent bevy of injuries, the recalls don't come as a surprise. The Flyers will be without defenseman Kimmo Timonen and Andrej Meszaros for the third straight game against the Panthers, and both Jakub Voracek and Jaromir Jagr are questionable for tonight's game.
Voracek is under concussion watch after taking a shoulder-to-the-head hit from Red Wing Niklas Kronwall Tuesday night. Jagr injured his hip in that game, as well.

According to Frank Seravalli's morning blog for the Daily News, the Flyers have recalled Harry Zolnierczyk -- I thought they'd tab Ben Holmstrom instead -- and defenseman Brandon Manning.
I was just poking fun at myself. I'd imagine it's near impossible as a non-native speaker though. Native speakers have a hard enough time.
I understood that, don't worry.
After reading the whole paragraph, (j) and (l) particularly, we know our full taxi squad but can send them down and recall them. Should be Wellwood, Zolnierczyk, Gustafsson and Manning.
I remember people saying that management is really high on Manning. They think he has the highest upside of our defenseman. I hope he impresses if he gets in there. I still think he is a little raw though.
