First anniversary of the Chara hit!

Nice article about Patches a year after. So glad to see him performing at an even higher level.

Maybe the secret to getting players to perform is to fracture their vertebrae. It worked wonders for both Cole and Pacioretty.

Very happy for him; I thought when he got hit by Chara that his career was over and was going to spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair.

He's having a good season, glad to see it.
As for chara, i still want to see him pay. Don't get me wrong, I'm not for cheap shots on any player, just a real good clean hit that stops him in his tracks. Only guy with the habs that could do it is the zambonie(check spell) driver, chara is a big ****er.

I don't want to think about that game or that day! All I know is that we drafted a franchise power forward with the 22nd pick overall and he is here to stay.

I also stand by my prediction last year and think he will be a 40 goal scorer in this league one day.

Also, with MaxPac in the lineup, the Bruins don't make it out of the first round.

I'm just glad not only that Pacioretty has physically recovered from the incident but has also picked up where he left off before his injury, he's far exceeded my expectations this year.

You just wanted to make a thread didn't you. Who needs to read that, and who needs to "remember" it especially. I really hate these journalists, revisiting events that put us all in shock. "Hey man u almost got killed, remember that? It was a year ago, when you almost died man, it was terrible. How you doing now?"

Well said, and I agree...

It was very "convenient" for Chiarelli to trade for Colin Campbell's son in the summer before all of this happened and his son won the cup.

One year later, I'm still mad.

At least Chara got a puck in the face

Pacioretty hasn't been as gritty since the hit IMO.

True, and also after the suspenion. U wont see him running ppl anymore, he's pony'd down... now it's like he just focuses on scoring. I'm not complaining tough, his line is on fire and so is he. It's when he's not scoring that I want to see him play grittier and he hasnt really done that during his draught.

Lord VoldeCharamort obviously heard a prophecy that Pacioretty was the Habs rising star and took action to protect himself and his teammates from "harm".

And how would Pacioretty have contributed in canning the Bruins last year?

Scoring goals? Kicking butt taking names? what a question, he is a Bruins killer extraordinaire.

League was a joke for not suspending Chara. It would have offset us losing Pacioretty. That's right, I just said Pacioretty was as important to us during that series as Chara was to the Bruins. If Chara was out we would have easily disposed of them and annihilated that stanley cup victory.

It is really unconceivable that MaxPac would have had an impact in a series that went to Game 7 OT...

It went to such length without Pacioretty; there is no guarantee that the Habs would have won the series, be it on game 7 or earlier, with a healthy Pacioretty.

But Chara was outplayed by Subban...

O rly? He made the Gomez line productive that season. Instead, Moen or whoever took his place simply was not cut for the job.

So what are you saying, that the team did better without him? Come on now.

He's been kind of avoiding hitting guys since the suspension, I remember he was getting more comfortable just before it happened. I just hope he explores that part of his game, because it can make him a much better player when he's not scoring goals.

Same for Cole, he's been hitting less this year.

No, just that there is no guarantee that the team would have been any better. He could have made that team better but then again, he could be a playoff choker in the NHL.

He's an unknown playoff quantity in the NHL after all.
