You can't outtank us. We've been doing this the last 2 years and know the grind it takes to lose important games.

On a serious note though, i do like the habs and it's kind of funny how I go into this GDT and it's like reading the Oilers GDT from 2 years ago. Just sharing how it feels, this is the ONLY thing that you guys are probably looking forward too and I absolutely do not blame you. I was part of the hall and RNH bandwagon and it was the only thing i looked forwarded too after the crappy season we called hockey here.

It really sucks for fans cause everyday, how many "change the draft lottery system" or "Oilers tanking on purpose" thread do you see everyday? Yah it sucks and going into this 3rd year, we will probably end up with a high pick again (as i am renewing my season tickets right now..... )

All I will say is that enjoy it now because the feeling of that high pick feels good. After years 2-3 though, it REALLY starts to suck and I don;t think our fans can take a 4th year of losing. I really hope you guys do not end up the Oilers East and endure the haters like we do but what can you do, haters gonna hate. Always enjoyed your fans at rexall

I get what you're saying man, but personally I've never judged the oilers like that. In fact, I'm happy for you guys because you're building a winner and perennial contender for the next decade. You're now in perfect position to sign a few UFA's and make a couple of trades that will bring great vets to complement your very young core. Which is exactly what I want for my habs.

Hang in there, it will payoff.

Our fanbase gets hated on regularly, so not like it'd be anything new.

But yeah, the Oilers are my favorite team in the west.

Make that one must-win game, and the Flyers game will that be.

Would starting the game with the goaltender pulled be too obvious?

So what should this be called: a (minus)4-point game?

I'm hoping for an Oilers win it's not even funny...

Maybe a bit too obvious.

How about playing Kaberle on the PK?

Or having Palushaj and Weber on the roster? LOL that can only be done by a tanking team.

Having Gomez playing 25 minutes and 1st PP time might also do wonders.

I just fear the Oilers have a better strategy. They're much more well-rounded in terms of tanking skills.

No problem with that. As long as Gagner pulls another Sittler.

I swear to god, if useless players like Gomez, Bourque and Nokelainen score tonight to lead us to a win...

But at the end of the day, I don't see much difference between #2 and #3 this year (especially if EDM is 2nd and picks a D) so what is really at stake here other than better Yakupov odds?

Regardless:

He should run someone into the stanchion instead and pretend he didn't know who was on the ice. Then send him a txt message to apologise later.

Lmao. We can also just tell staubitz to high stick a guy in the face, create blood, but to do it non intentionally/non violent will be the problem.

Thing is, I sincerely doubt EDM picks a D if they end up with the 2nd overall pick.

Galchenyuk and Forsberg seem like more than decent choices, but to me Grigorenko is the only one with legit elite upside.

Tonight is like the game 7 of mediocrity.

Agree with this. Everyone who thinks Edmonton will be picking a D if they land at #2 is fooling themselves, they will become corrupt with greed and take Grigs. Then they can dangle Gagner for a young equivalent on defense.
