I'm surprised that he's handling the media this well to be honest. I heard comments about him not being much of a media guy and the first impression of him when he arrived in Montreal was to walk past all the media and right into the building, lol.

Seeing some of the practice footage, he definitely had them working. They showed footage of them practicing defensive skating and stick positioning as well as positioning to take the body to separate the puck from the opposition. He has a strong emphasis on conditioning so he made the whole team bag skate - goalies included...got a good laugh seeing the goalies in all of their equipment doing skating drills around the rink

Tessa Bonhomme commented that guys were sweating like dogs after practice.

Sundin played his last game as a Leaf in April 2008. Burke took over GM duties in November 2008. Why anyone was mentioning 2007, I don't know.

Dogs dont sweat. It annoys me when people use metaphors that dont make any sense. I mean, is she saying they were panting really hard without any sweat coming out of their skin because they dont have sweat glands?

Why would we mention someone not on the team? Carlo and Steen were also dealt the day before he took over in a bizarre deal. McCabe was dealt a couple months before. Aside from Schenn we had no future.

You commented on the one thing in my post that wasn't my own thought so unfortunately I can't clarify that for you, lol.

Because some guys kept saying Sundin wasn't on the 2007 team but he was!!! (and before you mention it, I know Burke came later...)

Common misconception. Dogs do in fact have sweat glands and they do in fact sweat.

LOL dogs don't sweat. Yeah, I guess they just sit there, overheat, and die. Sweating through nose + paws = prevent them from dying. Good job Dr. Doolittle.

Not a dog owner.

On a flip side, something tells me if dogs sweated, they wouldn't be man's best friend.
