You have to take one game at a time. Those games behind us don’t mean anything when we step on the ice against Columbus in two days. As soon as they drop the puck there, it’s about getting two points there, and that’s it. (on never beating Nashville before…) I didn’t? Whew. [laughs] Well, that’s a big win then. I didn’t know that. They’re a good team. They’re tough to beat. We played great. We scored some timely goals. It was a huge, huge two points for us. (on trying to reset after the second period…) It’s the same thing, no matter what. Even if I make 20 saves and don’t let in any, it’s the same thing. It was a 3-3 game, so you just tell yourself, `It’s a 0-0 game here.’ You’ve got to win 20 minutes. That’s it. That’s all it was. It could be the same thing, if they scored three in the first and I kicked out 20. It doesn’t matter. It’s 20 minutes and it’s a tie game, so that’s all that matters."

(on the difference from last week’s game at Nashville…) We wanted to try to make Rinne work tonight. We felt, the last few games, we hadn’t gotten as much shots to the net as we should have, whether it be missing the net or getting blocked, whatever it was. We tried to put as many as we could at him. That first one, I just threw it at his feet. We were just trying to get him as much work as we could. (on the big goal late in the first period…) I think there were a lot of pivotal goals tonight. There were a lot of momentum changes. I was really happy with the way we came out in the third period. We didn’t sit back, didn’t play for a tie. We went after it hard and got a big goal and an insurance goal. (on the message during the second intermission…) The message was, `Go get it.’ As I said, everyone was into it, so no one was on their heels. Everyone felt a part of the game. They’re a fast team, one of the fastest teams we’ve played. They get up the ice and they make you work for the opportunities, and we did that."

(on the message in the second intermission…) I think it was to not sit back, and just keep going at them and playing like we were, trying to get on their D and trying to turn the puck over, and not sit back and relax. I think we did a pretty good job at that, so we have to keep going here. (on picking up Quick and giving him goal support…) He’s won a lot of games for us this year. We don’t score five very often, so it’s nice to get those for him."

It’s going to be fun to get out there and play against them, but it’s going to be a tough game. Obviously you want to go out and play good and beat your old team. I think above all that is, we’re in a pretty tight race here too. We need two points, for sure."

They’re trying to play the role of spoiler, and as a team and as individuals, they’re trying to play the role of proving something, because they have a lot of young guys that are trying to show what their identity is to everybody. And we’re in a different situation, where we’re fighting for a playoff spot. There’s two totally different mindsets. We can’t let their strong mindset right now get in the way of ours."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

We're at the crossroads here. Sitting in 9th, tied for 8th, playing like we expected at the start of the season. Let's keep it rolling!

Wish I could see this game :/

Totally a must win. Time to see the Kings take care of business. CBJ has no shut-down defensemen like the Weber-Suter pairing to take our top two lines out; I expect both lines to run amok. GKG!

Will be on a flight to LA during the entire game...been awhile since I missed seeing any part of a Kings game.

Hope to land to good news. A win means we are guaranteed of gaining some ground on SJ or Phoenix. A loss means we lose ground. That's a big deal.

GO KINGS!

Both teams have won 3 in a row. This is a big game and you know Carter and Johnson will be pumped up. Kings can't play down, they gotta play every team the same way no matter where they are in the standings.

Expected CBJ lines (my guess)

Umberger - Brassard - Nash
Prospal - Letestu - Atkinson
Gilles - Boyce - Dorsett
Russell - Johansen - Mayorov

MacKenzie has a suspected concussion. Mayorov just got the call up. 3rd and 4th lines could shuffle a bit.

Tyutin apparently broke his hand during the 3rd period of the last game. That may cause a complete shuffle on the back end. They haven't called anyone up on the defensive side of things. Last game it was:
Tyutin - Nikitin (where Nik Nik took a puck off the ankle/foot during the 1st period, and didn't play during the 3rd)
J. Johnson - Wisniewski (first couple of games were shaky, have been looking better since)
Moore - Lebda
and A. Johnson in for Johansen as a winger. (No, we don't know why.)

No idea how they plan to shuffle, or how extensive the shuffle.

Mason in net.

One item of interest:
From the CBJ team twitter feed http://twitter.com/#!/BlueJacketsNHL

Quote:
TONIGHT ONLY! Bring your Carter jersey to team store by end of 1st period, we’ll change nameplate to J.Johnson for FREE! Quantities limited.
Later tweet mentions that it would be a press on nameplate.

The CBJ will be wearing green jerseys during warm-ups for a fundraiser / auction. http://instagr.am/p/H6vzkqMXxC/

This will be a tough game. The Kings always play down to their opponent and Jack is going to be looking for blood and playing out of his mind. We have to come out strong and stay that way for a full 60 minutes. Can't let up for a second. GO KINGS!

Mabye Jack and Drew will throw down. It'd be hard deciding who I want to win the fight.

The x factor will be Johnson. Carter obviously doesn't care about Columbus, it's just any other game, but Jack definitely cares immensely that he is playing LA again so soon. Hopefully we can exploit his glaring weaknesses early. Mason is in net so we will definitely have the opportunity here to put in some goals, need to capitalize.

Just sayin'.
Yeah, forgot that you put the pic of Carter's head on the first one. I fixed the disclaimer.
