Yes, wrapping your arm around the goalie mask and hauling him down is "quite dirty". He could have broken his neck or something!

Here, let me get those for you

*grabs fiery red tinted glasses off icarus.

It's an unnecessary, pro-wrestling style takedown of a goalie. Yes, very clean

Thank you, master of objectivity.

How much dirtier is it than the goalie leaving the crease to run a player into the boards? But I suppose that wasn't as "unnecessary". Hauling players down like that usually happens a couple times a game, mainly in scrums in front of the crease and in the corners.

The takedown was illegal, but dirty? I guess you have a pretty loose idea of what exactly dirty means. Iginla was more at risk of getting hurt in the play than Vokoun was.

Oh but wait, I am a homer because I don't like it when my team's star player gets cheapshotted by a guy wearing thirty pounds of equipment.

It was a 5 on 5 brawl. The other Flyers were fighting and winning, Domi chooses the go and "help" the only Leaf whos winning his fight and let the others take a beating, what a team guy, eh?

JMI, one just has to read your posts to make their decisions about the quality and "hockey knowledge" that you display.

All I'm saying.

Furthermore, I was not defending Vokoun hitting Iginla. He got what he deserved, but you have to realize that it was payback *a rivalry perse*. Iginla, took Vokoun down, and calling it unethical to hit Iginla when he is down doesn't seem right to me. You have to stick up for your guys.
