Just finished watching his press conference and coming away very impressed, seems to know how to handle himself in front of the media and comes across as very humble and down to earth. I think for once in a long time we have made the right call.

I agree with you. I slept on it and was more happy yesterday, but after watching the press conference, Philbin really impressed me! I'm hoping this translates to his coaching abilities and he can turn things around for us.
I'm calling Ravens and Giants. Put Brady on his ass, he's not the same, he gets antsy, that's how the Ravens almost beat him the year the Giants did the same and won the big game. Their D isn't close to what it was then.
Giants are on fire, their d-line guys are really making a difference, and the offense is clicking. Saints don't have the same D, and their offense can keep up.

However, Flacco is mediocre and Cam Cameron is an idiot.
I'm rooting for the Giants as they're my second favorite team and the Ravens because I despise the Pats almost as much as the Jets.
However, I think the Pats have an extremely good chance of winning. Despite how much I hate Brady, I can't think of many other QBs that could easily own the Ravens defense. The other game I think could go either way, but maybe a slight edge to the Giants as everything seems to have been going their way over the last few weeks.
Lee Evans dropping a routine catch for the win. Billy Cundiff missing a routine field goal for the tie.
Harbaugh had some terrible decisions too. Maybe it's just me but early in the game, I'd go for it on 4 & inches near the goal line. It's not as if you're going to beat NE with field goals. Then near the end of the game down by 3, he chooses to go for it on 4th & 6 instead of trying for the field goal. There was actually still enough time with that defense (who stopped Brady to get the ball back) to punt the ball and put NE in bad field position. Questionable decisions.

You think that pass to Evans was a catch before he got it knocked out? He was in the endzone already, has his hands on the ball, and had two feet down, so I dont understand why that wouldnt have at least been reviewed. Everything I just said is part of the rules, and since he was in the endzone, he doesnt have to take any additional steps to show he had possession of the ball. Just curious.
That def was a choke job by Cundiff. I do feel terrible for him though, I cant imagine what he is feeling right now. You have to think about it though...even though these are professional players, can you imagine his nerves when he was lining up for that kick!?!?!

I don't know, I'd have to see a replay on the Evans catch. To rule it incomplete, the refs must've thought he didn't have clear possession yet.
And yeah, the kicker probably has the toughest job in sports in that sense. No one thinks they deserve to get paid because they're "not athletes" yet all the blame goes on them when they miss one like that. By routine, I meant routine for an NFL kicker. I definitely would've missed it, lol.

GMEN!!!! Dejablue!!!!
Brady will get his chance at revenge, should be an awesome Super Bowl ....
I cant remember the last time we have seen a botched FG to tie a game, followed by a fumble to lose a game in OT, especially considered the circumstances. As far as the SB is concerned, I have the Giants winning this one.
Oh and BTW, so who is the top team in NY Fatty Rex? Moron!

Indeed it should be. I'd want nothing more than a repeat of '08. I don't know why the Sun-Sentinel says that this is a nightmare for Dolphins fans. Just because the Giants are a New York team, how does that make them as hated as the Jets to us Fins fans?
So it looks like Philbin's OC will be Mike Sherman, and his DC will be Larry Coyle. TBH...I love this threesome, and Im SO glad that we have them instead of Fisher!
Funny how players are called greedy for following the $$$, but noone will criticize the Colts for ditching the player that made them great to avoid paying him $$$.
(Mind you, I'm not saying it's the wrong choice. I often get flack from Dolphins fans for saying that the turning point for the franchise was when Jimmy Johnson wasn't allowed by Huizenga to trade Marino. It's an unforgiving business.)

He is going to be a Dolphin. Its clear the Fins priority this offseason is to find a QB, and they will go all in with Manning. If he is 100%, then no doubt you go all in on him, but if he is not, then we need to go after Flynn. I just hope that they do their homework on this one.
im intrigued about the drew brees situation as well. From what i heard he got into a big fight with the saints front office.
I think its a no brainer if the dolphins could get brees over manning they would do that 10 out of 10 times.
Realistically how many years does manning have left in the tank?
The Saints are going to work things out with Brees, and I seriously doubt he becomes a free agent.
If Manning can stay healthy, the consensus is that he has 2-3 years of near elite play in him, which is fine by me. If they get Manning, they can move down from the #8 pick in the draft, and still be able to get Tannehill, which would give them their present and future QBs.
“You don’t think [Peyton Manning] wants to prove people wrong,” Wayne told WQAM. “You don’t think he wants to go out there and show everyone he’s back, and what he can do. This dude is going to be ready. Trust me, he’s going to be more than ready. And he’s not going to have a problem adjusting to nobodies scheme, and nobodies roster. He’s going to fit in just like he’s been there.”
Quote:
“My phone is working. It’s definitely working. I got all my bars. Whenever that phone rings, trust me, I’ll answer,” Wayne said about his desire to sign with the Dolphins.
“I can see it, and I’m definitely not opposed to it,” Wayne said about teaming up with Manning in Miami. “He’s a great worker. I consider myself a great worker, and when you put great workers together good things happen. Me being in his trail to Miami, I would definitely love it! I’m totally available. My phone is working…I’m ready for anything that comes! I definitely see that in the mix.”
Trying not to get my hopes up. Manning in a Dolphins uniform would be so sweet!!!!!
I'm trying too and also think it would be awesome to have Manning here along with Wayne! Would instantly make us contenders IMO. Who cares how many yrs left he has as long as he has 3-4 yrs left in the tank that's 3-4 yrs of contending for a Superbowl!
I dont think they are going to go with Reiff at 8, if they sign Manning. They can address the RT later on in the draft. I think they end up going with either Ingram or Coples, since we are going to see more 4-3 this year.
